Does any celeb get fillers and botox right?

Do any of them actually get the balance right? I've just been browsing BBC News and spotted an article about Stella McCartney on Desert Island Discs. The photos of her show her face looking completely different - artificially puffy - so it really does scream that she's had fillers done.

If she's happy with it then more power to her elbow, but I honestly thought she looked better before. But does anyone have it and actually look better without looking 'done'? I've wondered about JK Rowling before - I think she looks good though.

Plenty of them get it right, people only talk about the ones who get it wrong.

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 25/06/2017 15:25

I think plenty do get it right but we wouldn't know who they are as successful Botox and fillers is having a face that doesn't look like it's had any work done to it and looking naturally radiant instead (even if there is nothing actually natural about it).

LazyDailyMailJournos · 25/06/2017 16:35

Good point. I suppose it's the difference between Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox. The former looks really good and whatever work she's had done, is very good and very discreet. The latter is looking better now that she's stopped using fillers, but at one point her face looked terribly puffy and artificial.

Stella looks fine to me

If you notice it, it has been overdone. No one, no one, has noticed my tiny touch of Botox. But I know that I don't automatically appear cross any more. And, as my derm said, most people will just think that a worry has gone away so you look happier. Relieved, and a little younger and fresher.

IdlePhilosophy · 25/06/2017 17:30

I think the usual problem is fillers.

Good botox doesn't make any difference in terms of negative effect.

I would say any woman in the public eye who looks good has had good use of them.

Kate Beckinsale - is an example - no idea if she is a user but if you google pictures of her before and after - she looks much better now and young for her age. Touch of lip filler maybe.

LazyDailyMailJournos · 25/06/2017 17:38

Yes - KB looks really good. It looks like she has had some subtle work done when you compare earlier photos, but it looks great. She still has movement and some smile lines, which make it look very natural - she just looks well rested and fresh.

Gets busy saving up £££

Jennifer Anniston looks amazing for 48, she must have had something done but it's subtle. Agree about Kate Beckinsdake.
Rachel Weiss? Jennifer Lopez? I'm 41 and far more wrinkly than them (considers Botox)..

Liiinoo · 25/06/2017 17:59

I quite agree with PPs. If you notice it is because it wasn't done well. I have had Botox and ultherapy (a non surgical face lift apparently favoured by Jennifer Aniston). No one has noticed, not my adult DDs, my mum or my gay big brother. But I know I look way better and I have had many comments on how well I look! Sadly DH has noticed some pretty hefty credit card charges!

Liiinoo · 25/06/2017 18:00

And totally agree ~Rachel Weiss looks stunning. If I knew what she was doing I'd be queuing up for it. She looks even better now than she did 15 years ago.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 25/06/2017 18:23

Pamela Anderson has had a recent turnaround. She's obviously still messing with her face but she looks amazing.

HarryBiscuit · 25/06/2017 18:27

To me Kate Beckinsale looks good but not natural, you can definitely tell she's had things done, whereas Rachel Weisz just looks amazing, she looks like she could be naturally like that, though probably isn't!

Truckingalong · 25/06/2017 18:36

Stella looks like she's had her lips done to me.

Liz Hurley looks fantastic. She's had her lips fine for years and maybe some other stuff too but I'm not sure exactly what.

Truckingalong · 25/06/2017 18:46

Gillian Taylforth looks incredible. She's had a thread lift but has also probably had a bit of Botox and fillers too I reckon.

Abra1d · 25/06/2017 18:49

J K Rowling looks good with whatever she's had done.

silkpyjamasallday · 25/06/2017 19:14

Trinny Woodall has Botox done, I'm not sure about fillers, but she looks bloody amazing for 50-odd. I always thought I'd want to age naturally, but if everyone else starts with the Botox/fillers I'm going to look haggard in comparison so might consider it. Same with boob jobs, I was adamant I wouldn't get it done but after breast feeding I am not convinced mine will ever look as good as they did before as they are triple the size they used to be. I like not wearing a bra and don't want nipples hanging by my belly button.

goingagain · 25/06/2017 19:18

Duchess of Cambridge... Hmm

Truckingalong · 25/06/2017 19:36

Trinny has a shit load of fillers in her face and lips!

MercuryMadness · 25/06/2017 20:30

Provider

You seriously think Stella looks ok like this?

Does any celeb get fillers and botox right?
bananafish81 · 25/06/2017 20:31

Those celebs that don't look like they've had work done? Them

There's no way to tell if someone has had good botox or is just ageing particularly well

I don't believe (m)any Hollywood actresses have had no intervention at all. But some just get it done better than others!

Nicole Kidman - horrific over use of botox and fillers

Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts - I'd guess well done work used sparingly

Undetectable filler is harder than undetectable botox though

Delatron · 25/06/2017 20:33

Stella looks like she's has lip fillers as well. I don't think it's a good look..Trinny's work is too obvious too.

bananafish81 · 25/06/2017 20:35

(I sat behind Cate Blanchett at the theatre a few months ago - she does have SPECTACULAR bone structure and actually looked IRL like she does on the red carpet. Exquisite)
