New purchases?

I was wondering if people would be interested in a thread showing their new buys?

There are some posters, like Floisme, whose comments I always jump to as in my head I know what style they wear as I like similar stores. I'd love to see the clothes people buy as I'm sure they spot items that I miss and see something in clothes that I don't but should if I had enough imagination and creativity. I also love seeing clothes that wouldn't suit me or my shape but look stunning on others.

It is fair that I go first but I have returned all my recent purchases as I want to lose some weight. My most recent buy is this dress from Cos. I am still awaiting its arrival. If anyone has it, I'd really appreciate your thoughts on it.

Honey That is a thing of beauty.

I would never have the occasion or the budget to wear it but it is absolutely beautiful.

I just bought these bras.

this one

this one

I like idea of a much thinner profile and pretty colour peeping out.

I also bought some khaki dungaree culottes from pull and bear.

I love that wallet. I Wish I could wear Cos more, but I feel like I'm pretending to be an architect in their stuff! Beautiful as it is!

The green bra is especially lovely. I've big norks that need full coverage. I still look longingly at pretty underwear.

You called... Grin Thank you Love a new stuff thread - and that Cos dress.

I'm trying to buy more second hand this year which isn't so good for links. But I'm back in an androgynous phase right now so have been wearing these H&M chinos a lot and also bought these trousers which are a bit more 'out there' but I think/hope will have normalised by next summer. Both are half price in my branch.

I'm beginning to struggle to find good quality in H&M but got a long sleeved broderie cotton shirt in khaki which is wearing and washing well but I can't see it on their website. I would also buy this wrapover shirt but none of the colours suit me.

But my big find / boast is some second hand but good-as-new Margaret Howell tailored trousers, which was a massive stroke of luck as she's my style crush at the moment and I'd even started saving up to buy some new (which might have taken a while). As it was - and I'm sorry but I can't resist a brag - they cost me £45 plus another £15 for alterations. They're similar to these but without the stripe.

I'd been planning to raid the Cos, Toast and Me and Em sales but now they're starting, I'm not so bothered any more so think I'll save my money for autumn.

I got a Lauren Manoogian cardigan in the sale.

these RI trousers

Navy polka dot cullottes identical to these ones but without the waist tie and for much cheaper. Am finding them quite difficult to style. Think they look ok with white tshirt and white trainers but would like to wear them to work too and am at a bit of a loss as to what to wear on my feet with them.

Oh, and I also got this dress for my recent holiday. Wore it once with flat sandals - hopefully the weather will perk up a bit so that I'm able to wear it again during the summer months.

So many beautiful things.

The red dress is beautiful.

Floisme I have the twill trousers in my basket now! The Margaret Howell trousers linked are fab!

I had never heard of Lauren Manoogian and searched for her clothes. They look so soft and so expensive that I am hesitating whether or not to even look at her prices!

The pink rain coat is very pretty. I'm so used to black, dark green or navy. I must expand my vision!

The clothes linked are so nice to see. Not all would suit me or my lifestyle but it is so interesting to see what people are buying!

Love that Cos dress.

Flo - I feel stupidly happy for you that you've found your trousers. I know how much such things mean to you!

All I've bought so far is this makeup set from Benefit. An absolute bargain at £30 in the John Lewis sale. I needed a Porefessional and that alone costs £24.

And today I'm hoping to find a handbag.

Love the dresses. I'm not wearing them at the moment but I still like to look.

Thank you Remus, wait till you see my autumn wishlist - it's fiendish! Hope you find your bag - is it the small cross body one?

This tread is dangerous, particularly when I see posters like flo and Remus that always seem to link stuff I instantly covet!
I love th DVf Penelope dress, it s a thing of beauty.

Spurred on by my out of date wardrobe I ordered a lily and Lionel scarf (have my eye on one of their beautiful shirts if I can nab it in the sale) and a pamplone top and another olive green top in the dressing room sale. Will try link later internet slow here at moment. Like a sheep I m considering that pink rain mac ....

@imadingledanglescarecrow I am desperate for those Whistles trousers - might you be kind enough to link the similar ones you bought?

My purchases have been sensible sale buys. Two Breton tops in Jigsaw, and a very unseasonal Seasalt waterproof parka thing in John Lewis (I think it's called Janelle). The coat will be perfect for my 30 minute trek to work in winter here in rainy Scotland.
