Are you a 'Summer' with blonde hair?

If so, what colour make up do you wear?

I recently turned blonde from mid brown and everyone tells me it looks amazing (in a good way) but I am really struggling with my old make up as convinced I am looking a bit 'Brassy'

Still wearing dark eyeliner and black mascara but definitely have toned down blusher from cool pink to peachy pink

Should I move to brown mascara/eyeliner?
Recommendations much appreciated

I am over 45

(Disclaimer: I am an autumn)
It sounds like you need to move to slightly warmer colours - black mascara prob ok but try brown eyeliner, and make sure your eyeshadows on the warm spectrum (e.g. smoky eyes should be in browns not greys, use golds not silvers etc)

I thought summers were supposed to wear cool muted colours like taupe and blue toned greys?

I would switch to plum/grey/Soft navy eyeliner and navy mascara.

Look at Bobbi Brown palettes.

no 7 navy mascara, def cool tones, silver not gold.

Did you get any make up advice when you had your colours done? There was a bit in the booklet I got about what to choose. Think it depends on what type of summer you are too. I love the HoC lipsticks and don't bother with much else as they give my face such a lift.

I wear brown eye pencil, charcoal and also silver. Brown black mascara.

Bobbi brown palettes are fab.

Why would season affect what colours you wear?? Is it to do with when you were born? Im a summer born and I'm pale with ginger hair. My friend is also a summer born with dark hair and not so pale skin.

Ahhhh thanks for the clarification. What determines your season? Never come across the idea of seasons hence the daft question earlier Grin just things like skin tone, hair colour etc.

Ok seasonal stuff in a nutshell - you are either cool or warm toned in terms of the colours you suit. That is then divided up into two further categories depending on the depth of colour you suit. There are all sorts of systems with various sub categories which a whole industry has been created around. However it seems a bit unnecessary really because once you work out which one of the four you belong to you can pick your favourite colours from that.

Winter= cool deep colours. Suits black and white.

Summer= cool but muted (greyed down colours) suits French navy and most greys/taupe .

Autumn= warm suits spice colours/teal/brick etc

Spring= warm suits camel, buttermilk - lighter brighter colours too like coral.
