I had box dyed very dark brown/black hair but I'm naturally blonde. I decided I wanted to go back to my natural colour so I had my hair bleached and toned at the hairdressers. It went the inevitable brassy ginger colour. I went back today to have more toner put in which has taken most of that brassiness out but my hair is still light brown and nowhere near blonde. I don't have the money to keep having my hair done at the hairdressers (£75 a pop!) and so I was wondering if there was any way to lighten my hair to something much closer to blonde at home? I don't want to bleach it, I don't mind doing a few different things to lighten it gradually, I'm guessing a blonde box dye just wouldn't do anything. Is it possible to listen to blonde without using bleach?
