No 7 Protect & Perfect serums- Which do you use?

Hi,

I have been using the first one since it came out when I was in my 20's and was impressed with the results, definitely.

I'm now 33 and was about to repurchase again, but then thought, maybe it's time to move on to the Intense one- the next one up. Think it's designed for 35-45 yr olds and whereas I'm told I don't look my age, I can't see it will hurt Hmm

So if you use this, which one and how impressed, or unimpressed are you with the results?

TIA

I use protect and perfect advanced serum and have done for years. But I'm a lot older than you - closer to 50 than 45 sadly. Last time I was in Boots thinking about a tinted moisturiser/light foundation I was told not to use the next one up as it's too heavy for me with the foundation. Anyway, I really love the serum and have got used to using it most days under my moisturiser so I don't feel my face is tight and dehydrated. Never feels too much on my skin. Probably use a bit more in winter with radiators drying out skin etc.

Thanks, tobee. I have to say, the Intense one doesn't feel as moisturising, but I guess I'll have to give it a while to see if it actually lives up to the hype.

Wow, what post could be deleted on such a subject?... Confused I'm intrigued.

I was thinking the exact same about the post!
Anway, I use protect and perfect intense face and neck serum. I also use the day cream and the night cream. I really like them and my skin looks so much better using them. Was tempted to change but posted on here and most said to stick with the protect and perfect. I am 49!!!

Never , is the face and neck basically the same as the intense serum?

I'm still finding this serum less moisturising than the previous one. Also, noticed a couple of spots coming up Confused Not sure whether to just power through......

I cant really decide. It smells different. I used the intense serum a few years ago but bought this one as its meant to tackle the neck. I had my last baby in my early forties and because of the weight gain and weight loss its left my left looking older than my face so when it came out i jumped at getting it. I think its better than the intense serum but it is hard to tell as i am using retinol at night and my neck and face look much better with the combination of products.
If you are breaking out you should consider nip and fab glycolic pads. They have made a huge difference to the tone of my skin and the pores. Some people say the salysilic ones are better but i just know that the glycolic ones really worked for me.

I use the protect and perfect intense moisturiser over the serum. I dont have dry skin but more like combination skin so can break out on the chin and just under the corners of my mouth and on my forehead and side of nose. I started to use nip and fab glycolic pads and my skin just looked so much better and the break outs lessened.
My regime is wash face with clearisil face wash, sweep over skin with glycolic pad then apply serum [boots] then boots moisturiser. At night i apply the ordinary retinol 1% [ I have built up to using this more frequently] and nivea vit e and jojoba moisturiser about 1/2 hour over the top. On nights where i omit the retinol depending upon how sensitive and dry it feels, i apply boots night moisturiser [ again intense protect and perfect] It works for me atm.

You dont need the retinol as you are only 33!! :)

I started off using the original one about 8 years ago and just fell in love with it.

Today, I use the P&P Intense Advanced, and I love it too. I can definitely tell if I miss a couple of days of using it. To say I'm pushing 47 I still have very few lines, and the ones I have are only faint and I'm sure it's down to P&P (and I have never put my face in the sun).
