Right, I want a serum and here is my list of demands

Must not feel siliconey, don't like things like Protect and Perfect AT ALL.

Must do for both day and night.

Must plump my crepey dehydrated chops.

Any other bonuses like fading of age spots/erasing of wrinkles/tightening of pelvic floor gratefully received.

SBC do a collagen one and I really like it. It doesn't feel silicony or plasticy. Mid price range. If you get it from QVC its usually cheaper than SBC direct and you can send it back if you don't like it so it will only cost you the postage.

Nip & Fab Needle Fix?

The best serum I have ever used is Lush's Full of Grace. It is a solid serum, it smells lovely and it works.

SBC?

Just looked at the Nip&Fab one and the second ingredient is silicone, plus a reviewer says it makes her skin feel like silk. Not sure about that, have you used it Pat?

Just realised SBC is an actual brand, not some S&B code. Blush

I use Nip+Fab Dragon's Blood serum. It plumps out a lot of my wrinkles, doesn't do anything for my pelvic floor though. Wink

Is your skin just dehydrated as opposed to dry?

Dont laugh, but have you tried Aldi Lacura serum?

I really like it. Its very light and easily absorbed.

The ordinary Buffet. Or make your own up from their products. Cheap, decent and it's got good reviews.

I use The Ordinary Buffet. I have also used Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum, very good too.

Thanks for these ideas, am looking at them.

I'm pretty sure I'm dehydrated rather than dry, or perhaps I have drier cheeks and oily t-zone.

There's no Aldi near me I'm afraid.

One of my faves is Mizon Peptide Ampoule. It's a South Korean product, I've just bought my 4th bottle! Hydrating and very firming. I'm a skincare fan, have tried tons & tons of them and I really love this one.

Texture is just like water.

Ooh, which of the Mizon range might be right for me, do you think?

In that case, agree that the Ordinary Buffet could be a good one, and is so cheap! I am oily/combination and dehydrated and really like the NIOD MMHC and the Dr. Dennis Gross Hydration Booster as well. The latter is a lot more expensive but has a lot of additional beneficial ingredients. Hylamide is another option, which has the addition of peptides, which are believed to help with ageing.

Vichy Aqualia is silicone heavy, and the Nip+Fab also has silicone, and denatured alcohol high up the ingredients list, which is not great if you suffer particularly from dehydration.

Lauder advanced night repair does all that. I wear it day and night and look more haggard when I stop, which is unfortunate as it's expensive.

Lancôme genefique is amazing! Wasn't a serum user at all before this, now I couldn't do without it, amazed at the difference it's made to my skin.

You need Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum. It's light but leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and is £2.99 - currently with a buy one get second half price offer. I've used more expensive serums ( and I love The Ordinary for tackling specific issues) but this is the best all rounder by a mile.

£2.99!!!! Amazing. Will give it a go for that price, although I bought Loreal Hydra Genius or something recently, thinking I'd snaffle a bargain, and spots galore.

I'm looking for something similar. I'm using Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching serum at the moment but fancy a change. I find the dehydration frustration as I drink so much water daily....

I'm going to check out Mizon, NIOD and Dr Dennis Gross. I've got some other The Ordinary products and don't find them life changing tbh.

My two favourites Smile

Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Lotion, and Cosrx ADVANCED SNAIL 96 MUCIN essence.
I get both from Amazon, I believe the cosrx is from Korea, and the Hada labo from Japan (I am quite possibly wrong though).

Both leave my dehydrated skin beautifully plump and smooth. They soothe any rosacea or sun sore skin, and don't cause break outs.
I even layer them under my primer instead of a moisturiser on a hot day, so that I'm not an oily mess. Make up goes on wonderfully on top.
I love them so much.

Ooh, I used a Hada Labo product and it gave me spots too, and I'm thinking now how similar it was to that Loreal product I mentioned up there ^. There's obviously something in those type of products that doesn't agree with me.

Yes, MyNewHobby, I want something life changing. Smile

Snoxin by Indeed Labs. You can get it from Boots.

Caudalie glow activating serum is amazing. I started using it about 3 weeks ago and my skin looks loads 'glowier'. It depends a bit on your age as well though, I think it is aimed at skin in the 25-35ish group, if your skin is older or younger it may not be as effective.

crumble. I'm in the 'been getting away with it for ages then ruined my face by having a kid' phase. 46. Ugh.
