Am I too old for a dress like this? I am 44 and I have lost a lot of weight recently. So I have not bought a nice dress for a long while. I have to go to a wedding in a couple of weeks and I like this one and the website was recommended to me by a friend. But I am not sure if it is a little young for me. Advice please!

No such thing as being too old for something!

Teacupinastorm Mon 19-Jun-17 17:26:01

Not at all! It looks lovely!

mrsBeverleygoldberg Mon 19-Jun-17 20:17:57

No, it's lovely.

Beautiful dress, you'll look lovely.

Honestly? I think the opposite you're too young for it. I'm three years older and I wouldn't wear that. I'd expect my mother in law to. Sorry op.

I'm 44 and I think the dress is too old

MorrisZapp Mon 19-Jun-17 21:10:09

What bluntness said. It's a pretty dress but if anything it's on the 'classic' side.

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan Mon 19-Jun-17 21:12:23

I wouldn't expect anyone under 75 to wear that dress. Sorry.

defineme Mon 19-Jun-17 21:13:40

It's very classic and a bit 50s,not young at all, but pretty! Have you been going out in twinsetsgrin?

Andcake Mon 19-Jun-17 21:13:45

I'm 45 and think it's too old 😳

Funnyfarmer Mon 19-Jun-17 21:15:32

Blue or green one?
Not that it makes any difference. I'm just curious.
It's a very nice dress. I think it could be pulled of at any age.

PacificDogwod Mon 19-Jun-17 21:15:35

I'm 51 and that dress is way too old for me grin

Funnyfarmer Mon 19-Jun-17 21:16:30

I think the green one is nicer.

AgathaF Mon 19-Jun-17 21:17:44

I'm not keen on it either. Nothing to do with age though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Mon 19-Jun-17 21:19:41

I love the green one.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 Mon 19-Jun-17 21:20:51

Yes, I think the dress is too old, too.

Sittinginthesun Mon 19-Jun-17 21:22:04

I'm 46, and own a similar dress, which I love. I also had an almost identical dress when I was 20, which I wore with DMs. grin

Malfoyy Mon 19-Jun-17 21:22:38

I came on to say that I think it's a dress for someone about 15 years older as I'm about your age and wouldn't wear that for this reason! PP have beaten me to it but the point remains

tigerdriverII Mon 19-Jun-17 21:23:45

Too young for that! I'm 55 and wouldn't be going near it with a barge pole

Confusedandintrigued Mon 19-Jun-17 21:25:06

Too old?

I'd say you were about 20 years too young for it

SinglePringle Mon 19-Jun-17 21:27:02

What the others said - I looked at it and thought it the dress of a classically minded 70 something.

AnniesShop Mon 19-Jun-17 21:29:06

I’m a much more mature woman grin and I’d def wear that.

Ojoj1974 Mon 19-Jun-17 21:31:11

It's gorgeous and certainly not too old for it. It's a classic style which you can make young and carefree or sophisticated and elegant
