Where to find cotton summer dresses for work

I've been to the shops for 4 hours
today to look for cotton or linen dresses that I can wear for work (smart casual office). I came home with absolutely nothing!

Where can I find these, does anyone know? I went in all the major shops hoping too get something of decent quality in the sales but found nothing, it was all polyester & similar which made me feel hot just looking at it!

I'm 5'3 so do find lots of dresses too long, I'm size 12 and find shift fitted style suits me well.

Thanks in desperation for any suggestions.

Watching with the greatest of interest...also interested in cotton trousers that don't make me look ballon shaped.

white stuff, as above, although I haven't seen much I have liked there recently. Boden had some I thought would work for me, also 5ft 3,
don't know if this link will work!

NEXT has linen dresses - these are sleeveless though

you could also try Mistral, or Seasalt, although I find Seasalt often have pretty fabrics but oddly unflattering shapes, at least for me

Yes I did go in White Stuff & had high hopes for their sale but they didn't have any dresses in my size that I liked. The ones they did have I wasnt keen on the colours. Full price seem quite expensive.

I've looked at Boden, never bought from there before. They do have some nice dresses but even in the sale they are quite a lot of money for me. I'm not used to spending much on clothes but I'm getting desperate and I presume these more costly clothes are better quality and so will last longer than me buying a load of items from cheaper shops.

Boden. I'm 5'3 and have the Margot (modal/cotton mix) and Phoebe (100% cotton). The "casual jersey dress" is cotton too and so are various others if you look through.

Gap and H&M also worth a look though their cotton ones may be too casual.

Thanks minipie, do you order the petite? I think I'm just going to spend a bit more money & build up a collection gradually.

This is nice for work. Can't see if it says what it's made of though.

Some of Adini's dresses are cotton, but may not be your style.

Go on eBay and buy second hand. Honestly the only way I shop now. Search cotton shift dress size 12 and have your pick of the Boden or whatever you like.

Just got a sleeveless navy linen one in next. Wore today with a bright cardigan, it was perfect.

It wasn't very expensive either.
