Roll up hags, for all things Hotter.

I am hoping this thread might be what I'm looking for, but the inner workings of Mumsnet evade me sometimes.

I'm crepey. I hate it. I am spending vast amounts of money trying to reverse it. While wanting to shake every 20 year old by the shoulders and tell them to LOOK AT YOUR SKIN.

Is this thread for fading beauties?

bigTillyMint · 15/06/2017 19:17

We may be crepey, but we are not fading - we are crepey and proud some of us in their Hotters - do join us Maid!

NoCureForLove · 15/06/2017 20:03

We wear our Crepiness vair well Maid - we talk about being crepey now and then but mostly teenagers / work / studies / dogs and cats / health stuff / aged parents / recalcitrant husbands etc etc. Oh and the odd bit of s and b... welcome.

Rosenspants · 15/06/2017 20:23

Thanks for the new thread Herbs.
Welcome Maid. We are crepey but I for one, spend little trying to reverse it. I will not fade. And I love clothes...probably a lot more than cosmetics and products. Hope you hang around and chat.

I am beached on the bed again after hours of helping DS2 pack up at his hall of residence. I'm whacked. Earth Spirit sandals still performing brilliantly!

MrsKlugscheisser · 15/06/2017 20:25

We are Hotter than our Hotters.

MaidOfStars · 15/06/2017 20:26

I have neither teenagers nor pets. I do have work, some study, aged parents and a passive aggressive husband.

MaidOfStars · 15/06/2017 20:26

I also have a glass of Sauv Blanc.

MaidOfStars · 15/06/2017 20:29

And PA husband has given me some chocolate.

CointreauVersial · 15/06/2017 20:46

You'll fit right in, Maid.

I must have dreamt it, but this thread title seems awfully familiar. Have we had it before?

Rosenspants · 15/06/2017 21:43

Yes I thought that CV....

NoCureForLove · 15/06/2017 21:49

Oh well, if we have had it before it's still very relevant now... must be our age.

NoCureForLove · 15/06/2017 21:51

NoCureForLove · 15/06/2017 21:51

Oops.

MsMartini · 15/06/2017 22:06

I think it was the one before the last one. But still great and apt.

Welcome Maid, do stick around. I wouldn't mind some chocolate right now....

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 15/06/2017 22:15

Checking in ...... welcome Maid

herbaceous · 15/06/2017 22:25

Oh heavens. Was it in fact the title of the one that got deleted? I wondered why the name felt so right!

OP posts:
IDismyname · 15/06/2017 22:39

I was going to suggest something along the lines of:

I'm Tallinn you, it's the Crepey Summer Squad

Or something...

Anyways, greetings to Maid. Sounds like you'll fit in very well :).

NoCureForLove · 15/06/2017 22:41

i think it was Herbs!

IDismyname · 15/06/2017 22:42

Herbs that recipe is indeed lush.

I'd add more oomph to it next time, but the yoghurt sauce was fabulous. I couldn't taste the Parmesan much, so would probably omit next time.

DH had his with cold trout.

Definitely a keeper.

bigTillyMint · 16/06/2017 07:20

I admit it does sound familiar. Fluffy, plenty of time for yours too!

Awake in the night again for a couple of hours and feel sledgehammered. TFIF.

Montypulciano · 16/06/2017 07:30

Morning all! Thanks for new thread, Herbs. Back to catch up properly after school run.

motherinferior · 16/06/2017 07:46

Welcome Maid. We are crepey but fabulous in our varied ways.

Embarrassing confession of the week - my humming habit - yesterday was v stressful and busy at work which does NOT excuse my inability to stop humming 'Power to all our friends' which I think might have been a Cliff Richard eurovision entry decades ago. I'm not aware of ever consciously hearing it, and I refuse to check whether I'm right but there it was in my low-grade sub-conscious.

Fingers crossed for all the exam takers today. W/e break ahead.

MrsWobble3 · 16/06/2017 11:14

Good news from the Wobble house. Dd3 has just finished her last exam - hooray! Dd1 and dd2 got their results yesterday and both got what they expected and needed for their next exciting adventure - double hooray!!

hope others are in similarly cheerful positions

MaidOfStars · 16/06/2017 11:16

I'm very flattered to be recognised as 'the poster' in any context.

I am trying to be fit. I have weightlifting callouses and ran a marathon in April.

It may have gone slightly to pot since then, but my new clothes still fit so I'm not going to admit anything other than continued fabulousness.
