We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

Thanks for new thread Dry

I like that bag Lib

Amazing McQueen dress Blingy

Shop I've got stripe envy. Good buys. I had a look on The Outnet but frugality kicked in and I've decided to reign in the spending.

Dry you are hilarious - thanks for the new thread Smile.

Blingy I haven't decided at all yet re pearls - going to go look at some I think. Also while browsing jewellery I keep getting distracted Grin. Now emeralds are appealing to me...

Not keen on that Alexa stuff at first glance Shop. Can't imagine anyone looking great in the oversized suits.

Grin Dry

Lib, I can see the lust appeal! I actually don't own any emeralds though have always wanted to...sly look at dh.Wink

Shop, the Alexa Chung collection left me cold. It sort of reminded me of the Samantha Cameron Cefinn collection, i.e. Something s obviously designed for her body shape and no one elses!

Great stuff Dry Thanks and yes loved that film! Such good food. Even checked the credits think it was Marcus Wareing? who acted as a consultant on it. And always love the Bradley

I was going to ask about the Alex Chung stuff Shop. Not keen on it at all from what I've seen. She's got a good start by stocking at Matches etc but wonder how it will go

Lib not sure on pearls

hmmm, not sure about the AC collection, not for me i don't think

You all know my thoughts on AC-she's seriously overated and I just don't get the appeal.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday for dh birthday and off to work today. It's quite nice just chilling getting ready without screaming at the dc to get ready for school.

Not a huge fan of emeralds. I have a ring that's been passed down to me through dh family although jewellers don't seem sure whether they're real or just good fakes. To find out it would have to be sent off and I'm not that arsed about it. I also have a tiepin with 3 smaller stones and at one point I was going to have them all redone into a necklace but I realised I probably wouldn't wear it much.

We're away on Saturday night for dh birthday and I decided that I 'needed' a new top. Will link later once I've collected.

Who did you day was in the film dry? Was it Bradley cooper? Grin

I agree with you all regarding the AC collection. Some stuff didn't really seem that different from what you can get else where (denim skirt, shorts etc) whereas some stuff was truly hideous - that striped trouser suit Hmm

It's my DHs birthday tomorrow so we're out for dinner and have a night in a hotel in town. Am looking forward to it. Not sure what to wear as I saw that it might be tipping down tomorrow evening. Typical.

Back from a few days away - weather is better here at home!

Thanks for the new thread Dry. Gorgeous Whistles dress you linked on the last thread.

Waves to Topaz, lovely to see you back. Nice Esprit top. Shame you can't make the MU, it would have been great to catch up.

Not keen on the AC collection; it all seems a bit too try hard and definitely not a style I can really wear anyway. I did like the denim skirt though.

Ootd is a slate linen knee length dress with these wedges

Hello,

Thanks for new thread Dry, love the opener! Must check out Burnt!

Everyone that sounds lovely, enjoy your night in town.

Shop north Norfolk in this beautiful weather sounds like the perfect holiday Alan Partridge country

Am with the general consensus on Alexa C. I quite like a lot of the clothes actually (am with you on the denim skirt fedup) but wouldn't buy them, not convinced at all by her design credentials.

Am exhausted, so busy at work, am slumped in a corner of the bus home wondering why I promised to make dh artichoke risotto for dinner. The biggest pita vegetable to prepare.

Went to Bella Freud sample sale this morning but not inpressed, was a bunfight for the classic jumpers like 1970 which I didn't want anyway and the rest was just the dregs. Holding out for Charlotte Olympia in a few weeks time, hoping to get some sandals and a clutch or two.

Dry you have an amazing figure! i bet you look fab in your shorts and let's be honest, if I'm wearing shorts (albeit with tights) and i'm double if not more your size, then there's not a single reason i can think of for you not to wear them!

waiting for dp to get home, he was away last night as part of his new role at work. was only one night but still missed him even though starfishing in bed is always a bonus
