Generous fitting denim shorts for dd

Dd3 is 10 and has a bit of a tummy and I'm struggling to find shorts that fit her comfortably.

Really need to go out today to buy some, she has NOTHING to wear for warmer weather.

Bought her some from H&M last year but they are now too small. Any recommendations please?

Erm. Buy bigger ones? Some shops - I think e.g. M&S - do clothes for larger kids. But if she's just got a tummy rather being actually overweight, maybe it's just shopping around till you get the right cut, find a fabric with some stretch or whatever?

If you size up the jersey type ones with a draw sting like these will probably be comfy? They sell them everywhere and they seem to be a bit more flexible on fit than the denim ones.

The h&m ones we got cane up quite large so try a size or two up.

Denim is difficult for rounder children. A lot of girls that age have lycra cycling type shorts with longer tunic type tops, would that be acceptable instead?

You could look at chambray shorts for her. They look like demin but are woven differently so are much softer and tend to stretch more.

This sort of thing another pair

Primark have some with adjustable elastic bits inside in the older girls section - which I think goes up to 12/13. May fit better?

I always used to find that Asda clothes were generously proportioned. Failing that why not look at adult sizes?

why not go to Gap and try smaller adult sizes? or boys, they are often baggier, and who would know?

My DD2 is 10 and sounds a similar shape to your DD. New Look age 14 denim shorts fit her well.

Thanks for all the tips. She is VERY fussy about clothes and wouldn't entertain the idea of chambray or elasticated velour unfortunately.

Could try adult sizes, don't want to pay a fortune though.

I forgot about Gap thanks herecomes I've just found some that might suit her from there.

Primark do adult sizes from 4 and have tonnes of shoes . Also next online do a plus fit so he wouldn't actually know . They say the correct age on them .
