Help!! Piled on the pounds and having holiday wardrobe meltdown...

Just that really! Had a very stressful year and haven't lost the weight I'd hoped to by now. In fact I've done the opposite. I'm now a 16-18, about 5'5" and weigh just under 14 stone. Figure wise my legs are ok but I have a huge stimoach and my bum sticks out so much it's like it's a shelf!! Last year I wore bikinis as we were in Greece and it was so hot. This year I'm mortified at the thought, but it's mostly what to wear in the evenings. We don't get too dressy but has anyone got any recommendations for shapes/styles that might suit please? I get disheartened trying on things as the things I like tend not to flatter my larger shape!! TIA.

Maxi dresses? One of the new swimsuits with draping?
Or wear what you fancy and don't stress about it
Though I've two weeks to lose half a stone to fit in mine so I feel your pain

Make an appointment with the John Lewis personal shopper. It's free. You will come out with loads of stuff and feel great.

I'm a 16. My happy weight is a 12. 😭
However-I bought a high waisted bikini in Asda today. With a bra sized top. (They're selling as separates). It looks fine and is super comfy.
Also bought 2 swimming costumes with the shapewear stuff in them at £10 each. They fit beautifully and are as good if not better than something similar I bought in John Lewis a couple of years ago.
Honestly, it was brilliant. I will look fat of course, nowts changing that apart from slimming world. But I will feel comfortable and not over/under exposed.

Have you explored Lagenlook? Loose cotton tunics/kaftans over little white leggings. Some of it can be a bit OTT - but I think it can be fab. I have a friend who does the look (mainly in black) and always looks gorgeous.

Brilliant! Thank you everyone! I will def get myself to Asda and try it all on and will look at that website, DIY do like something my friend would be into! I hadn't thought of a personal shopper but that sounds far more relaxing. May have left it too late for slimming world to make a difference, may need liposuction!!

When is your holiday? I lost a stone in my first month with SW, and then went on holiday and felt so much better just being that one stone down. I still had another three to lose after that but that stone certainly made me feel better on the holiday!

I was pleasantly surprised by Asda swimwear. So much that I bought the first bikini I've worn since I was 18!

5 weeks today so if I get my fat arse in gear I could possibly lose as much as a stone. They need to stop selling wine in Scotland...
