Years of saving but now have ring of my dreams!

I just had to release and feel far to self conscious to tell anyone in person. However I've just received a ring I've wanted for a good few years after saving and feeling so guilty, but I did it

the ring

Goegeous ring!! Well done you. Wear it in good health. Are you going to waft your fingers very subtly now in company? "Ooh my hair is becoming undone...ooh I have to rub my forehead?" Grin
Onto boring things now :please make sure the ring comes under insurance policies name the Ring and keep the receipt safe. If possible take photos of you wearing them. Speaking from bitter experience as we had a break in.... Sad

Wow-that really is stunning! What's morganite-I've not heard of that before?

Morganite is named after JP Morgan the American banker. It is pale pink or salmon pink and occasionally light purple. If is usually heat treated to stabilise the colour. There are quite a few boutique jewellers using it now because it is a pretty stone. The best use is earrings because the stone can pick up wear and tear and scratch because it is not very hard when compared to a diamond. (Lots cheaper though!) They are best used as an occasional dress ring and not an engagement ring.

It's fabulous, Morganite in the blush colour you've chosen is one of my favorite stones, it goes so well with rose gold too, really makes it glow.

Congratulations, I'm sure we all appreciate things we've had to make a large effort to buy. Enjoy every minute wearing it. I'd be sat looking at it all day if it was mine Grin

So pretty. I've never heard of morganite either (but then I know nothing about expensive jewellery).
Are you wearing it as an engagemt ring or is it a pressie to yourself?

And, Get it insured!
