Just nice t shirt type tops...I am struggling. Lots of vests or casual t shirts but I want a bit smarter.

Seasalt website, look for Appletree top. I have one in the design that is now sold out. The fabric is really lovely. I have been finding it v. difficult to find tops this year. Too many frills and bare shoulders!

PS I know it appears pricy for what it is.

That's quite nice I don't want anything clingy or off shoulder but also nice fitting. Aah why is it so hard

Are they generous sizing? I'm a 12 or 14 depending on the shop

I tried a Joules Harbour top on today. It was v nice quality/fit but am bored of stripes and everything else a bit too 'pretty'. Wish they did them in dark colours! If you're more of a colour fan than I am, you may like them.

Def not clingy as I don't like that. They do free returns I think. I would say they are fairly generous. First time I have ordered from them so I ordered a few sizes to try out. Some of their stuff is in John Lewis too. The design I have is on the JL website (search Appletree there) I notice it has good reviews.

All Saints have some lovely tops at the moment, bit on the pricey side though.

Bought some vests from joules and like them. Mmmmmm...not keen on all saints website really

Fair enough, never had a problem with it? I tend to go to the actual shop though tbf.

Last summer I bought some v nice linen t-shirts on La Redoute. They are very fine knit and look a bit dressers than a regular t shirt.

Update...ordered a few from joules
