Can anyone give me some hints? Dd going to a birthday party, birthday girl will be 12 & has said she would like makeup type stuff as a gift.
Birthday girl is mixed race, I am not, I know nothing about make up at all ( I own 1 lipstick that is about 10 years old Blush).
Please can someone just tell me what to buy?
Budget about £20 and I need to be able to buy it in a shop as party is on Saturday. All help gratefully received Grin

Why not get her some pretty make up brushes? Boots have unicorn ones with a twirly handle and multicoloured brush. They're by make up revolution. Failing that, an eyeshadow pallette. Makeup revolution do them for about 8 quid

Make up brushes is something I would never have thought of! Just found some & Dd tells me the girl got eye make up & lots of brushes from her sister!
Maybe I need to think of something non makeup, DD is useless at coming up with ideas!

I'd go for something like a sheer lipstick or tinted lip balm for a 12 year old.

Something like a Lancôme juicy tube.

Peachy colours are supposed to be universal. I'm mixed race and would go for a peach or pink. As they are sheer, the colour wouldn't matter too much.

They are £20, so you won't get much for your money though.

A makeup bag? Or a nail polish set?

Nail polish might be a good idea, and pinky peach if we go for lip stuff!
The girls are all new year 7s so lots of pressure to get the 'right' thing, problem is some of them are like expert make up artists while the other half barely even brush their hair (my dd!)
