I'm thinking of getting yet another one. I just love the damn things. Anyone else?

A beard and inability to type. Blush I have bought a bomber jacket, a light one but I feel a bit 90's in it. I keep going back to my leather jackets.

I've never liked biker jackets. Keen to make some old-style mn friends for life though. Is this the spot?

I love these new pleather biker jackets. I have 2 although one is leather. My original biker jacket was leather and for riding on motorcycles. It was heavy but protective but still looked cool. One fashion that has never gone - biker jacket and 501's. Still wearing the combo after 35 years. I just can't get the right boots Grin

I have one from All Saints that I adore. My husband doesn't allow me to wear it anymore, though. He doesn't think it's feminine enough.

Yes why, I'm not jacketist. All jackets welcome here! Grin

My sister has a really lovely blue suede biker jacket that she looks beautiful in.

I guess my black leather biker jacket may be a bit threatening for the husband!

Well I say ignore your dh. If it makes you feel any better, I used to have one of those yellow fishermen type coats and my dh hated it with a passion. He used to shout CAPTAIN BIRDSEYE or GET THE TARTE SAUCE READY when I put it on. Hmm This is a man who dribbled curry sauce down his jumper and didn't bother changing it this evening. Hardly a fashion icon. Grin

I think leather jackets attract worms, who make holes in them. Grin

Just the thread I need!
I'm on a mission to get one currently. I've got my eye on the Allsaints Papin style, though I'm still a bit Shock at the price tag. Planning to head to Bicester Village next week and see if I can grab a bargain somewhere! I find it very hard to find one that's "just right"; a lot of the styles I see have weird embellishments or shapes.

Lois, I would LOVE a yellow fisherman type jacket!! I'm having visions of it now! And yes, the irony with men - the stuff I've had to wash out of his clothes!

Sansa, All Saints is so ridiculously expensive! I asked my mum for the jacket one birthday and thankfully she didn't seem to mind about the price!

Have a couple and love them. I really want a burgundy one now.

If dp told me I couldn't wear something, I'd probably wear it every day.

Love a biker. I had a cheap-ish Oasis one for years, and last year replaced it with a Whistles one. It was - for me - pretty expensive and a real investment buy, but I have worn it loads and feel great in it. I'm currently liking it with cropped wide trousers and trainers, but think it works just as well with dresses and with jeans.

LOVE a biker jacket, zara has been my go to for them. A couple of pleather, a suede (fringed!) and a leopard print. They go with almost everything.

Yes what's with all the ruffles and embroidery on everything? Very annoying! In the interests of full disclosure, this thread is an attempt to find a bit of light chat on MN. Its a sea of trolls at the moment, you don't necessarily need a biker jacket to join in. but it helps
The one I have my eye on is blush pink, faux suede. Its in Matalan. I wish I could afford All Saints.

Phyllis you lucky thing to get one given Grin

I don't mind spending £200ish on a real leather one that ticks all the boxes; but the AS ones are all £350+. I've honestly no idea how much of a discount you get at outlet places like Bicester Village; hope I won't be disappointed!

Can I say something terrible, and I don't want anyone to get annoyed at me? I hate faux leather jackets so much. I know real leather costs a lot, but I just cannot stand how faux leather smells, looks or feels.

I have three other leather jackets that aren't biker, but I don't love them as much as my biker.

I would wear it with dainty summer dresses I think; at least that's the idea! Trying to de-frump myself a bit at the moment Wink

Sansa, I am lucky! I don't think it will ever happen again in my life time.

silkpyjamasallday, the blue suede jacket goes really well with dresses to jazz up an outfit. It seems to work in so many situations for my sister - she can wear it at work, on a night out or even for a quite smart event!

My first biker jacket, the one for riding bikes, had fringes. It was quite useful at gigs as when it got too hot it would stand up all by itself. No one would dare nick it as everyone knew that jacket belonged to Elephant.
