Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders 100%. I completely used to the Ambient Lighting Palette (it took a year of daily wear) and now I carry the Ambient Lighting Edit everywhere. I always get complimented on my skin, which is actually quite blotchy and dry under everything.

Used up*

LardLizard · 28/04/2017 18:12

Paper doll where do you buy that from ?

I don't think I've heard of that

I buy it from SpaceNK - online but I'm sure it's sold in their shops

Hourglass is sold in John Lewis, too, and they often do 20% off. I've loved Hourglass ever since discovering Mrs Gloss, but recently joined Beauty Pie. It's mostly a bit tat (the foundation gives me bumpy skin) but the highlighter is the best I've ever used; better than Benefit, better than Hourglass, better than Charlotte Tilbury and I'd even go so far as to say it's marginally better than Becca's Champagne. It's a few pounds, but you have to pay to join; I paid for a month and cancelled once I'd bought a lifetime's supply of highlighter. You can now see me from the moon.

The balm - Mary luminiser.

Would have to agree with pp. The Beauty Pie Moonlighting Radiance is extremely good. I have the lightest colour version, and it has become one of my favourite cosmetics instantly. Subtle but improves the look imperceptibly. The brush set is also good, if one is in the market for new ones. Have also bought the fancy moisturiser but will wait a few days before saying too much. The lippies are good too with a decent balance between colour, lasting power and hydration.

Other stories liquid ones are nice

mowglik · 29/04/2017 03:14

Becca champagne pop is my favourite

I have the hourglass ambient palette but it's rubbish on me - makes my skin look muddy which is strange since I am already mid-toned/nc30

seoulsurvivor · 29/04/2017 03:20

I have to admit I haven't tried it but I follow a make up forum and every time someone has amazing highlight and is asked what it is, it is ALWAYS 'Wet and Wild', an American brand.

Not sure if you can get it in the UK, I am not there.

fauxhito · 29/04/2017 03:55

Becca skin perfector hands down. I use the liquid version though. They have different shades for different skin tones. I look sort of greasy with the hourglass one

ForSaleChesterDraws · 29/04/2017 05:31

If you can find it Laura Mercier baked radiance powder in highlight is fantastic. The softest highlighter ever and perfect for non-highlighter people. I love it. So subtle and natural

BusterGonad · 29/04/2017 07:38

I have a Mac one, called beauty powder in a pink shade called Pearl Blossom. It's lovely over blusher.

BigGreenOlives · 29/04/2017 07:40

Becca Champagne pop

BusterGonad · 29/04/2017 07:42

My Mac one.

The balm - Mary luminiser. It's only about £20 off feel unique too. Absolute bargain for how good it is

selavy · 29/04/2017 08:12

Anastasia Beverly Hills So Hollywood. It's amazing!

Hellobye · 29/04/2017 08:13

Can I ask what you do with a highlighter powder and where it goes?

LardLizard · 30/04/2017 12:53

Thanks for orb all the ideas

Hellobye I think the ideas is you basically brush a little where you want to highlight any areas you want to highlight
Mainly cheek and brow bones
By some people put it on the tip of the nose

I have four and the best of them is Mac Soft and Gentle. Surprised it's not been mentioned as yet as it seems to be perennially popular.
