What shoes to wear?

Going to a wedding soon. I'm wearing a dress I bought from Laura Ashley last year (sorry, don't have a photo or link), but it's sleeveless, v-neck, fitted bodice with fairly full mid length skirts, in black heavy broiderie angles cotton.

Looks very 50s in style and cut.

Don't want to wear black shoes, as too severe, so was wondering about these red sling-backs to give it a pop of colour...?

Those are good but suede is maybe a bit wintery. Adding colour is certainly a good plan though.

I really like them too. TBH I'd be tempted to go with a white bag and red earrings and bangle or somesuch combination with them.

The dress sounds fab.

If it's fifties in style how about some Mary Jane type shoes: I love these as they also incorporate a bit of white too.

What about rose gold?

Red white and black are so bold together, I would go for something less contrasting and softer.

Rose gold shoes, grey/rose gold clutch and a grey little cardigan or jacket. You could add in some jade green with some earrings or a small stack of silver and jade bangles.

yy that'd be lovely too, rose gold and jade green or teal and a bit of gray. Blush pink and soft pewter would be pretty too.

I love bold myself though. black and white with yellow or red is one of my favourite combinations.

Daffodil yellow would be nice. Kitten heels or slingbacks with the 50s style or why not a sandal:

I have some blush pink, velvet loafers - the colour (but not the style) looks really good against the black of the dress. Think I might go with blush pink/mink accessories just to soften it a bit.

Just need some blush pink heels now, but don't really want metallics.
