Your legs but better

Please recommend me the best nude tights ever, M&S don't count, I'm done with them. I'd like sheer tights, non shiny, so that my legs look like I have no tights. Open toe optional. Money no object. But no more than £20 Grin.

Following this for sure. I've never worn nude tights before but looking at my knees which are quite scarred from being a clumsy ass I'm thinking of doing it this year.

Falke Shelina - I am pale so get the golden ones. Powder is for more tanned.

I like Falke Shelina too. I really love Gerbe "Ethnic colours" tights or stockings, they are more matte than the Falke ones, and really fine. and they do a shade for every ethnicity (I am milk white celt) but they are hard to find.

Personally, for non shiny sheer tights I love a nude micronet. Levante for preference, but the Jonathon Aston ones are OK

Interesting thread 🙂

I would like to wear a dress in the summer for work (I live in boring black trousers) but am reluctant to have bare legs so will definitely look at these, thanks

Same problem here a few weeks ago. I ended up trying Sally Hansen airbrush legs - and loved it. I won't bother with nude tights again!

I have recently discovered 10 denier John Lewis three packs. Sold in Waitrose. Better than anything else I've found in the "work tights" price range

Oh I don't know. I feel that anything above 7 denier will be too obvious...

I just found some in TKMaxx called Better Than Bare. Can't remember the brand, but the name is accurate! Looked almost like I wasn't wearing any, but much better than that!

Ah the Gerbe ones have been linked to by Mumbod. I am typically celtic in colouring and I wear either of the palest two shades, Ecru (a creamy colour) or the Eau Naturelle (pale skin tone), they only do the darker colours on UK tights though. www.pantyhose-stockings-hosiery.com/pantyhose/gerbe-ethnic-colours.html here has more of the shades- they are expensive, but lovely. Good too if your skintone is different from the normal tan-y colours of skintone tights, eg very pale or dark.

That's a better link, Vix. I need the palest of the pale.

Not what your asking for but I would agree with poster above, Sally Hansen airbrush legs is amazing. It's less a Than a tenner so worth a try just have to get the right shade.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/04/2017 10:44

Mumbod, the Ecru is essentially cream, the Eau Naturelle is a really good pale-skin nude with no orangey tint. I'm a typical very white Welsh person with no hint of a tan on my legs and I wear either colour. The Ecru is fractionally lighter than my skin but they are so fine that it is natural on, and the Naturelle is an excellent nude on me.

Does the Sally Hansen not rub off at all on clothing? I've just bought a v expensive silk dress in a lightinsh colour for a wedding and I'd hate to spoil it. But my corned beef legs need help

mumsnut I have heard that the Sally Hansen does not budge until washed off with soap.
I have ordered some and I have high hopes!

Mumsnut I used it when I was a bridesmaid in a pale peach dress. It even rained and didn't stain!

I'd been looking at those, the wide waistband looks good, I hate a digging-in waist.

Report

The Heist ones are lovely (got the black for work) but get the high waistband not low waistband version as the low one didn't sit properly on my wide hips. Another vote for Falke Shelina.
