Anyone bought some Birkenstocks but not the sandals?

I didn't realise that they did flats and boots as well. I have wide feet so I'm wondering whether I should try a few other styles out too.

No - have occasionally thought about it, but they are fugly AND expensive so I can't bring myself to. Would be interested to hear if anyone has tried them, though.

I'm at the age where comfort and durability rules, Delphinium! But yes, I would rather someone else takes the risk on them first!

I've got a few pairs of closed toe/open back clog type things which I love but don't think the make them anymore. Think the style was Dorian.

Plenty of professional kitchens have their staff wear them because they are durable and comfortable. Not the prettiest, but sometimes that doesn't matter!

Pippa, the sandals are one thing, and I do live in them in the summer, but the shoes......think I'd rather go out in Crocs! Having said that, the long boots don't look too awful.
Am looking at FitFlops, now they've got Uma Thurman on board ( smart move) they may end up being viewed as acceptable.
And whilst I too am at that certain age, I feel it would be admitting defeat to wear those dreadful birkie shoes. Did you see the "ballerinas"???
