Where do people with a small chest go for a bra fitting?

As summer approaches and clothes are less forgiving my manky bras need to be replaced with ones that fit!!

I'm pretty flat chested (36aa or 34b) so normally wear gel bras but always struggle to get a good fit. I loathe bra shopping, so would love to go somewhere that says 'this is your size, here are a bunch of well fitting bras'.

Thanks!

thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1 - measure according to this. I bet you aren't an AA cup at all

Here

I bet you aren't a 36AA. What dress size are you?

I would bet money on you not being an aa. What dress size are you?

It costs, but Victoria's Secret had displayed assets to their best advantage.

I just go to M&S.

M&S measure wrongly and give a bra with too big a back size and too small cup. Don't let them measure you

I thought I was an 34AA. I went to Bravissimo where I was measured up as 30DD!! It was a revelation and the difference (comfort, support) was incredible. I definitely recommend trying them, if you have a branch within striking distance.

Thank you! I will check out that link... my dress size is usually 12.

Bloody hell FiddleFigs!!! That's quite a difference!

The wonderful bra ladies here. I tool or the measuring tape and gained 4 or 5 cup sizes. Ha ha, no wonder my old brass were never comfortable and looked really odd. Then I sent out from amazon and abused the free return option, fitted loads and saw what difference style and brand make. I've now got a few good ones. I live somewhere far away in the countryside so is not easy to go shopping, fitting locally, that's why I went a bit overboard on the amazon thing.

I thought I'd get laughed out of bravissimo because I have small baps, but my friend dragged me in

I went in a 34B and came out a 28DD

I probably need to go back as I've lost some weight and the tape measure at home says I'm a 28D

If you're a slight build it is very unlikely you're a 34

I find Debenhams to be pretty reliable.

At a dress size 12 there is no way you are a 36aa!! I am a 10 and wear a 30 back. I would guess you would be a 32. Don't go to m and s. Was it them who measured you at that size in the first place? They are notoriously bad at measuring you at too big a back and too small a cup as they use the old method of adding 4 inches to the back measurement.
Join the fb group boob or bust. You will be presently surprised! Also your boobs will look much bigger once they are properly supported.

Not m and s. Victoria's Secret seems to work for me size wise. Everywhere else seems to give me the wrong sizes.

M and S to be avoided.

The only time I've been measured properly was in mothercare when I was pregnant with my twins - their 9th birthday is in 3 weeks!! You have all made me realise I need to measure myself properly... after that I might try a shop.

bananafish81 - I had also assumed Bravissimo is not for people like me! Maybe I'll try them...

I hate my boobs... in fact I would go as far as to say I'm ashamed of them. That's why I hate bra shopping!

Victorias secret don't do 28 back size so if you're anything smaller than a 30, they won't tell you you're a size they don't sell.

Recommend a store like bravissimo which sells a range of sizes to get a proper fitting

I wore a 34A or 36A for years and then measured myself at home a couple of years ago. I am a 30D or a 32C depending on the style. I was utterly gobsmacked. When I used to read statistics about 8 out of 10 or whatever women wearing the wrong size bras, I always thought along the lines of "but I must be an A as I am so small, so I must be wearing the right size".

Anyone looking at me would say that I am very very flat chested, but I am a D cup. Just not a 40D cup!

I also now realize what style bras to my to suit my shape. I have shallow breasts apparently (who knew?!) and I suit a balcony shape with very very light padding.

There is a bra that M&S do in the Autograph range (not the Rosie for Autograph range) for £22.50 that I buy in all the colours when they release new ones.

WellTidy, can you post the link to your bra from M&S please? I think I'm a similar size.

OP, I also think I am a 34aa/36aa, and I have recently bought bralettes from Peacocks in size 10-12, and they are pretty good.

I must try the alternative measuring, it's just that where I live there are no good bra shops, only an M&S. So I am reluctant to order online. I do have a few bras from Littlewomen that I think fit quite well, I took the pads out. I hate wearing underwired and padded bras.

I go to an independent bra shop where I live. I have small breasts but they are 30D. Is annoying how most bra band sizes seem to start at 32.

dementedpixie · 24/04/2017 09:43

An AA cup means there is no difference between the under bust size and the over bust measurement which I find highly unlikely. I am a 36 back at a size 20/22 so again I don't think you are wearing the correct size if you are a 10/12 dress size.

I'm small chested for my height (5'9", size 10/10 stone) and had thought I was a 34B. Bravissimo put me in a 30D and suggested I could prefer a 28DD.

Unfortunately they had very little decent stock of small bra bands and sent me away with awful boob flattening bras. I've since done trial and error ordering on Amazon and am happy in a 28E or 28DD.
