I've just bought it for a summer wedding, church then country hotel reception.

I look nothing like the model - I am 5'2", blonde and a size 18. It's floor length on me and I only wear flats due to back pain.

Not sure what to go for in the way of an extra layer? Blazer, cardigan, what else?

Help please :)

Black wrap with black sandals?

Hang on - it's navy though!

If it's on the floor, I'd have it taken up as it even looks rather long on the model.

I'm not adverse to navy/black. It can look very chic.

longines Its a maxi dress, it's supposed to be long! I bought it because of the length. It's shoe length rather than floor length I suppose but still very long.
star thank you.

Ah ok, I'm short too and had visions of you tripping over, OP! I think I'll just stay off the fashion threads from now on..

Navy cotton or linen blazer.

Something like this?

The waistline looks really high on the model but as you are shorter that should look better on you than it does on her Smile

No Longines, all opinions are good!

Definitely a blazer but cropped, so it hits your waist.

Red clutch bag.

twostep thanks, I like the idea of silver.

longines no, don't do that. I promise I'm used to long dresses and I probably won't trip up

Ha, thanks OP and Star - for the record, then, I'd go for a lighter-coloured wrap too!
