I'm 5'7", a size 12 but planning to knock a few more pounds off, fairly straight-up-and-down. I want a simple shape and sleeves of some sort but (to my surprise) have also fallen in love with sequinny/beady/embroidered-type frocks whilst searching.

What do you think? And has anyone ever ordered from Adrienna Papell for the US to the UK?

All gorgeous!

explodingkittens Mon 17-Apr-17 18:19:25

No 4 and 5

I quite fancy a dark blue or green...what do you think? I tend to wear darker colours usually.

Gingernut81 Mon 17-Apr-17 18:20:34

Am with Paintbox, they're all gorgeous!

Coldhandscoldheart Mon 17-Apr-17 18:20:52

I like the first & second. No help on any thing else though sorry. I think they all look as if they'd be a good shape for you.

honeylou42 Mon 17-Apr-17 18:21:16

All beautiful but I think 1,2 and 4 are the best smile

Coldhandscoldheart Mon 17-Apr-17 18:21:34

4&5 are lovely too!

BusterGonad Mon 17-Apr-17 18:21:35

No4 for me.

ChrissyHynde Mon 17-Apr-17 18:22:06

2 or 4. In fact 4 with 2's neckline confused

TheLuminaries Mon 17-Apr-17 18:22:19

I like number 4 but they are all lovely.

OhHolyFuck Mon 17-Apr-17 18:22:41

Love 4!

Maverick66 Mon 17-Apr-17 18:23:04

No 2 for me.
Love neckline very flattering.
Love the colour
Love style and shape of it

Knittedfrog Mon 17-Apr-17 18:23:10

Number 2. Followed be 2 and 4

explodingkittens Mon 17-Apr-17 18:23:37

They really are, aren't they? I should probably say, I'm 43 if that would influence your choice at all grin

I love all of them. Have also been looking at Needle and Thread but the dresses I really live from them are all backless and I think that might be a step too far (especially in Glasgow in the autumn!)

MagnumAddict Mon 17-Apr-17 18:24:15

1&2 are my faves but all really lovely

explodingkittens Mon 17-Apr-17 18:25:04

Love not live!

I think no 4 might be my fave too, just about, but I love the dark blue too...

kel1493 Mon 17-Apr-17 18:25:23

I love the style and shape of number 2. I love number 5, except the neckline. But all lovely

MistyMinge Mon 17-Apr-17 18:26:43

Number 1 & 3 are my favourites, but they're all lovely. I'd steer clear of the darker colours, think the lighter ones are more weddingy, and will look better to look back on in the future. Lighter colours nicer for a summer wedding too.

2017SoFarSoGood Mon 17-Apr-17 18:27:18

they are all beautiful! I love Adrienna Papell dresses - they are even more lovely than the pictures show. They wear well too, and are well made. I'm sure you shall be fine with having them shipped!

explodingkittens Mon 17-Apr-17 18:27:32

this would be my absolute dream dress if it had a back to it!

LadyPenelopeCantDance Mon 17-Apr-17 18:27:34

They are lovely!

If it helps OP, Monsoon and Phase Eight do very similar styles of dress for around £500. You could order from there to see how they fit before paying US postage prices.

explodingkittens Mon 17-Apr-17 18:28:42

Oh that's really good to know, 2017, thank you!

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday Mon 17-Apr-17 18:29:26

What kind of "feel" will the wedding have?

1,2 and 4 are beautiful and romantic.

3 and 5 are also beautiful and more sophisticated.

marmitecheesetoast Mon 17-Apr-17 18:29:49

All gorgeous but 2 and 4 are my favourites!

WanderingNotLost Mon 17-Apr-17 18:32:01

All beautiful! I can also recommend Frock and Frill for embellished dresses too.
