Dresses and comfy shoes

In an attempt to get myself away from the baggy top and jeans uniform I've been wearing for the last month (new mum), I have bought myself this dress: www.whitestuff.com/womens/dresses/peckham-blue-mable-jersey-dress/

It is a really nice fit on me, although as I am short, it's knee length. I would like to wear it during the day, so need comfy shoes/boots. Would (flat) ankle boots work, or would I be better with flat shoes instead?

I personally think flat shoes would look better than ankle boots but that's just my opinion. Really nice dress
