Shades of tan leather for sandals....

Do you think there are certain shades of tan leather that work better than others for flattering your skin tone?
I don't have impossibly perfect smooth tanned pins and am generally pasty white blue red and purple!
I love tan leather but should I avoid it in sandals? I wondered if I should stick to black as it's such a strong contrast.

I think a deeper tan is more flattering than anything too close to flesh tone.

Yes. Tan, brown, etc don't suit me. But I once had a pair of sandals that was exactly the colour of my skin (flesh) and I really liked it.

I think it's related to skin tone. I'm a cool-toned Winter so earth tones don't really look good on me.

It's these i like. I saw them on another thread but it's so hard to tell how the shade will look against my skin. The black denim would suit but they don't seem as timeless.

I think black sandals on pale skin don't look good, always looks a bit gothy to me. I think a deep tan is much more flattering on pale skin
