It's very "bridesmaid" and I'm not a fan of the elasticated back.

It's not my sort of thing but it is nice, and I reckon the elasticised back would be really comfy and if you aren't too well endowed in the chest area you could get away with no bra which is a bonus.

Love the colour and looks like it'll be flattering on.

I think it's a bit bridesmaid too but it is pretty.

What sort of event is it?

It's for DH's work ball. I do like it but I'm 50 and worried it's too 'pretty' for me and I'm just too old for it. I'm 5'2 with shoulder length reddish/auburn wavy hair and do try to dress nicely and not quite at the twinset and pearls range yet, but I don't want to look silly.

I love the colour and because it's in the petite range I reckon the length will be perfect. I wish I was 30 again! Grin

It looks like a dress a teen would wear to a school prom to me?

Report
Rioja123 · 14/04/2017 21:00

I think 50 is too old for little mistress, sorry!

I think it looks great. Especially if you have a good figure it will look stunning.

TheDowagerCuntess · 14/04/2017 21:04

Gosh, it's hard to say.

I think if you are petite, it could look absolutely stunning with your colouring, regardless of age.

Fairylea · 14/04/2017 21:04

I don't think it's too young at all! I think styled well with the right accessories it could suit any age.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 14/04/2017 21:07

I don't like it. I think the high top with straps at the back looks strange.
Not a fan of the colour either, sorry.

I think it's very 30 year old bridesmaid to be honest and a hard colour to wear without looking washed out. Obviously I say that without seeing you and you might totally pull it off.

Have you had a trawl through ASOS OP? they have lots of occasion stuff and do a Petite range as well.

My dd 18 has this in wine for her school prom. At 50 I'm not sure I'd get away with it.

Do you need a full-length frock? I think they can swamp petit women. If it's black-tie you can probably do cocktail, what's your spend?

Don't love it tbh. What shoes would you wear?
