I don't have loads of dosh and want something for a formal event. Thoughts on this please?

Rioja123 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:16:22

It's very "bridesmaid" and I'm not a fan of the elasticated back.

MommaGee Fri 14-Apr-17 20:18:13

I think it's lovely op

Fairylea Fri 14-Apr-17 20:21:39

It's lovely.

WowOoo Fri 14-Apr-17 20:25:00

It's another lovely vote!

bruffin Fri 14-Apr-17 20:26:05

Very pretty

Chottie Fri 14-Apr-17 20:27:14

It's lovely, buy it and enjoy wearing it.

BrutusMcDogface Fri 14-Apr-17 20:27:58

I like it!

WaitrosePigeon Fri 14-Apr-17 20:28:17

Really nice. Elegant.

Bluntness100 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:28:29

What's the event please?

I like it

silkpyjamasallday Fri 14-Apr-17 20:33:45

It's not my sort of thing but it is nice, and I reckon the elasticised back would be really comfy and if you aren't too well endowed in the chest area you could get away with no bra which is a bonus.

BusterGonad Fri 14-Apr-17 20:34:15

Love the colour and looks like it'll be flattering on.

BreatheDeep Fri 14-Apr-17 20:34:18

I think it's a bit bridesmaid too but it is pretty.

What sort of event is it?

Madbengalmum Fri 14-Apr-17 20:34:59

Tis ok.

WilburIsSomePig Fri 14-Apr-17 20:49:06

It's for DH's work ball. I do like it but I'm 50 and worried it's too 'pretty' for me and I'm just too old for it. I'm 5'2 with shoulder length reddish/auburn wavy hair and do try to dress nicely and not quite at the twinset and pearls range yet, but I don't want to look silly.

I love the colour and because it's in the petite range I reckon the length will be perfect. I wish I was 30 again! grin

SirNiallDementia Fri 14-Apr-17 20:59:44

It looks like a dress a teen would wear to a school prom to me?

Rioja123 Fri 14-Apr-17 21:00:41

I think 50 is too old for little mistress, sorry!

robinia Fri 14-Apr-17 21:04:35

I think it looks great. Especially if you have a good figure it will look stunning.

TheDowagerCuntess Fri 14-Apr-17 21:04:53

Gosh, it's hard to say.

I think if you are petite, it could look absolutely stunning with your colouring, regardless of age.

Fairylea Fri 14-Apr-17 21:04:55

I don't think it's too young at all! I think styled well with the right accessories it could suit any age.

TheMasterNotMargarita Fri 14-Apr-17 21:07:03

I don't like it. I think the high top with straps at the back looks strange.
Not a fan of the colour either, sorry.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard Fri 14-Apr-17 21:13:10

I think it's very 30 year old bridesmaid to be honest and a hard colour to wear without looking washed out. Obviously I say that without seeing you and you might totally pull it off.

Have you had a trawl through ASOS OP? they have lots of occasion stuff and do a Petite range as well.

dingit Fri 14-Apr-17 21:13:57

My dd 18 has this in wine for her school prom. At 50 I'm not sure I'd get away with it.
