Is this boring?

I'm a very large lady and am already dreading the warmer months and what I'm going to wear without looking like a sweaty mess. I do tend to feel the heat and due to my size I tend to cover up. My plan is to buy several plain black/navy jersey maxi dresses and accessorise with various kimonos, colourful light scarves and pretty sandals to change them up a bit. Is this a sensible plan so I don't have to stress too much or is it just really boring and unimaginative? What do you folks do in spring/summer?
