FFS, I typed a long post about MI's Gazelles being Dope and Fire and Peng being SO 2014, and the thread was accepting no more posts.

How are you this morning, Mrs S? Thank you for new thread.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 31/03/2017 08:56

Morning, thanks Mrs S.

My dc all get a bit sniffy when I try on anything that's even the same brand that they might consider Smile

I'm sitting planning stuff for the hols. I'm assuming (big assumption) ds will revise, so I'm trying to find interesting things for dd2 to do. So far we have lambing and a forestry day... that's really not going to fill three weeks Confused

Great title!

And I have to agree, haven't heard peng uttered by my teens in a loooooong timeGrin

Thanks MrsS.

Shows how out of touch I am - struggled to work out dope, fire &peng. Grin

Thanks for the new thread, MrsS: love the title. I don't think I have heard those expressions before which shows how far I am from teenagers and the South! Fingers crossed that DM at least stays pleasant.

How are all the Crepey DSs today? Our poor boys, they are so fragile.

Herbs, would definitely recommend exercise for DP. Years ago my DH was really suffering at work; tbh I got completely fed up with him and eventually enrolled him for a beginners' badminton course. He has played it ever since and, of course, it's quite a sociable sport. Would also recommend him taking DS out cycling: DH loves taking our oldest DGS out; it's one of the things planned for the school holidays. FlowersWinefor you and him.

Maybe DD1 thought peng was suitable for someone as vintage as moiSmile?

Fighting off cold - and huffy DP - with late start. Listening to Arundhati Roy on Desert Island Discs. Fab.

I understand gazelles offer a bit more support to the crepey foot. Am sick of clomping around in DMs while my offspring leap about like, well, gazelles.

Lalsy · 31/03/2017 10:31

MI, I think those gazelles are gorgeous! I need arch support so flat shoes don't normally work - if you get them could you report back on their interiors?

Totally agree about exercise. dh plays a sport with me and others at the weekend and cycles to work but neither particularly challenge him and I think he could do with something more intensive for stress-busting purposes. So have suggested we do something slightly scary together assuming he would say no (as he has done to all my other suggestion). But he said yes.Shock

MI, I love those gazelles too. DD is all about the Superstars, but I reckon she would borrow them if we were the same size!

Lalsy you aren't planning a Tough Mudder, are you? Eeek!

It was fun the other day MI you non-waffler.

I've got loads of deadlines and I shouldn't be here. So, you know. See you later probs.

I like your Farrow and Ball 'texture' range Mrs S.

Being a Sarf Lunnon crepey I think I might start referring to things as well Penge. Which I always say with a cod-French accent. Bien penge, innit?

Rosebag · 31/03/2017 13:27

I also thought of Penge... Grin

Thanks for the new thread. Excellent title.

Herbs poor, poor Dp but this is so normal. I think he might need to seek treatment to help him over a difficult time whilst trying the self help stuff...exercise and so on. Flowers

Reason to be vaguely optimistic:

I have received an email from a theatre with words to the effect of, 'your play has passed the first hurdle and is now being read by a senior artistic director...we will be in touch. '

Reason to feel upset...
This thread is really distesssing me for some reason

Schools out for EasterWine

Report
NUFC69 · 31/03/2017 16:39

The schools here don't break up for another week, BTM. I hope you and the family can all have some relaxing time.

Rose, well done on the letter from the theatre.

DH is back from his bike ride with his pals. Another thing about exercise, Herbs, is that DH when he retired missed male companionship; going out at least once a week means he gets that, also I get some respite, too, so we're not in each other's pockets all the time. Anyone else wondering what Lalsy is going to be attempting?

Report
Lalsy · 31/03/2017 16:53

Grin NU. Not sure yet but a clue below.....we (or at least I!) may not do it........I agree about regular fixtures as well. I wish dh had someone to go out and cycle up and down hills fast with on a regular basis. Apart from anything else, it means it happens and can be planned around.

Oooh Rose, fingers crossed, that is great news. I agree with you about treatment.

Waiting for call from dd to go and meet her and bf off coach. ds has gone off to alarming activity camp again.
