Please find me some wedding shoes!!!

I now have 12 weeks until my wedding and am getting desperate! I just can't find the right shoes. Here's the requirements:

  1. They need to be white. WHITE white. Not ivory.
  2. They need to be flat. I can't do grown-up shoes at the best of time and I'll be damned if I'm spending my wedding in pain!
  3. Size UK 5
  4. Under £40
  5. They have to be pretty! No white converse etc. A bit of sparkle is a bonus but not essential as I could always bling them up myself
  6. Some kind of straps or something so they don't fall off while I'm dancing

I've been assured by a friend that you ladies are the ones to ask with a dilemma like this so I'm keeping absolutely everything crossed that you can come up with something lovely!

    Thank you very much xxxx

Well, white Crocs are the obvious choice.

You're welcome, glad I could help.

Slightly over budget but do you like this kind of thing?

Semaphorically · 29/03/2017 13:09

These are flat and strappy (but may not be terribly comfortable).

Semaphorically · 29/03/2017 13:14

Or these?

RenardeRenarde · 29/03/2017 13:14

The first thing I thought of reading your post was coldteaforme's suggestion. I think they'd look really simple and lovely with a wedding dress

Buffyboo · 29/03/2017 13:17

Oooh some amazing suggestions to get me started! Thanks so much! I especially like the ASOS ones and the Dune ones... keep the ideas coming ladies, while I decide how many different ones I can justify ordering to try :-)

Sorry ignore my 2nd post - they are ivory

I got my wedding shoes from primark, for £5. They were pure white ballet pumps. They didn't have any strap but they didn't need fall off because of the fit (the front covered my toes so they stayed on well).
They looked like a lace effect (and I managed to find a bag from new look that was a close match). My wedding dress didn't have any lace in, but we were only engaged 3 months, so I didn't have long at all.
I wanted flats because: I was 4.5 months pregnant on my wedding day. I had a load of stairs at home and at the venue. I hate heels anyway. And I had a big ballgown wedding dress with a fairly long train.
I knew no one would see my feet in my dress, so decided it didn't matter what my shoes looked like and I didn't want to spend a fortune.
Also I had a navy and white dress for the reception, and the shoes went well with that as well.
My wedding was 2 years ago but you could probably still find something similar.

White and blingy but no straps

Slightly over budget but you could wear them again

Have you looked at bridesmaid shoes? At a size 5, you might be able to get some designed for kids but not too childish

@KingJoffreysRestingCuntface

I just spat my coffee out laughing as that is exactly what I wore! Manolos until my feet got tired then swapped into cross, except mine weren't white Grin. Nobody could see under my dress until I took great delight in showing everyone and I wasn't prepared to suffer.

LoupGarou · 29/03/2017 14:43

*Crocs, not cross! Sorry I'm not much help OP.

I chose dance shoes for my wedding shoes as I don't do fancy shoes normally and needed them to be comfortable so I could ceilidh the night away.

These or similar for you?

Just noticed they're kids ones, but am sure that site or similar will have adult versions. 😊

You lot have definitely come up trumps! (And not the Donald variety) - so many brilliant suggestions. I'm going to have a lovely evening choosing! Thank you very much! xx
