How many coats do you have?

Weird question coming into summer but I'm curious!

I have a regular wool type coat, a trench coat, a parka, a dog walking coat & a blazer.

They're all past their best so next year I'm looking to upgrade but I'm wondering how many I actually need.

I have a ridiculous amount, they take up a whole double wardrobe, much to my husband's dismay!

Probably about 10 but three that I wear regularly (cagoule for dog walking, smart waterproof jacket for work, long puffy coat when looking after DS as he makes all my clothes gross)

I have a faux leather biker style jacket, and a big, fluffy hooded parka that's seen better days but is warm for football watching.

That's it. Blush

Three wool coats in various states of smartness, trench coat (short), down coat, a parka style coat, a smarter jacket, loads of fleeces and waterproofs. I love coats but have to draw the line at what I'll actually wear.

At least 15.

Loads of trench coats too which I barely now wear because I live abroad where its never 12 degrees and drizzly : it's either minus 30 or plus 30!

Grey wool coat (with me today)
Camel wool coat
Grey leather jacket
Trench coat
Plus a ultra light down jacket I will wear as a coat when it's warmer and dry.

Just bought a jacket from h&m but haven't tried it yet and I want a denim jacket.

The two wool coats will be put away soon (hopefully)

A Gap Navy Trench
An olive green Ben Sherman parka
An Isla Jacobson black waterproof

I used to just have one for work and going out and one for proper walking....simpler times. They got replaced when they were worn out!

North face proper walking to work in the rain warm coat.
Warm quilted parka - bit more lightweight and falling apart really.
Woolmix work coat (debenhams)
(v cheap) 50s looking coat for going to black tie dos.
Green woolmix work coat (M&S)
Black wool long funeral coat.
Purple weird long coat I must get rid of bought in sale and has never suited me.

2 waterproofs and a couple of waterproof fleeces for proper walking.

I underestimated the amount of coats people have! I'm confined by space. Only have a tiny wardrobe.

I've bought 5 in the past month. Maybe 20-25 coats. Couldn't count the jackets Blush

I have coats for all seasons:

Lightweight showerproof jacket
Rain coat
Denim jacket
Trench coat
Jersey spring coat
Cycling waterproof jacket
Wool bomber in zebra print
Navy pea jacket
Long wool coat
Long cashmere coat that has seen better days but can't bear to throw it away so now it gets worn just as a wraparound in the garden or nipping to the cornershop
And a huge puffa jacket job for really cold days.

To be honest I think I would need/like to have lots more but have restricted space in my house.

MumBod, you're my hero!

Loving this thread for jacket inspiration.

I have many, many coats and jackets too. My husband would argue that I have too many (ditto shoes boots and handbags) but the truth is I've only just started...

Full length smart warm wool coat
2 shorter light weight wool coats (bit big)
Long waterproof coat (am about to send back under guarantee for not being waterproof anymore)
Shorter waterproof coat (new bargain, still got tags as I'm waiting for warmer wet weather....)
Zara fun fur I purchased on black Friday ( also still got its tags on ....)
Hip length autumn/spring waterproof, old and also too big but ok if I'm desperate
2 leather jackets (one is bargain still to be worn bit of a theme .....)
Denim jacket also new bargain, waiting for summer ....
Summer short 'outdoors' waterproof
I just ordered a new trench, same as last year's but a smaller size Grin

Most are new purchases as I lost quite a bit of weight over the past year. I chucked all the other old ones out.

I don't think that's really a lot Hmm and lots are practical sadly as it's very wet and windy here! Grin

I want mumbod's wardrobe

I have my proper coat which is made of wool and was quite expensive, but it keeps me lovely and warm.
I also have a denim jacket that is fleece lined, so I often wear it in the depths of winter and people think I'm mad wearing a denim jacket, as they don't know it's fleece lined and warmer than my proper coat.
I also have my real black leather jacket, as well as a baby pink fake leather jacket.
