Going to a Spa! Body Wrap?

Solely in order to prove my excellent credentials as a mumsnetter, I am going on a spa break

There is a choice of treatment packages. Two of these involve someone touching my feet (shudders) so are completely out of the question. I have to decide whether to have a facial and manicure, or a massage and body wrap.

I have never had a body wrap - can anyone tell me about it? What do they do? I don't want anyone to see my enormous norks my whole body Will it make me slim for a few hours, and then I just pop back into my usual size 14 shape?

Slimming wraps are clays that are then wrapped in cellophane and you are kept warm, essentially you sweat out your impurities for 30 minutes.

There will be some inch loss however this is sadly water and temporary.

I have never had one or done one but have learnt about them as part of a beauty course, someone who knows more may be around soon

Yes I imagine so since they will have to paint the clay on and that's quite messy. They also wrap you like a mummy so I imagine clothing even only a bra would get in the way.
