is my new Philips Lumea faulty? :-(

I bought a Philips Lumea cordless 2009/00 for £350 from Amazon a few days ago, after you lovely ladies recommended it so highly.

But I'm not sure it's working correctly. I'm a bit upset... Can you tell me if this is normal, or whether I need to exchange for another?

  1. When I'm using the leg attachment, it only works for about 10 flashes, and then the flashes stop. When this happens I switch it off and on again to give it a rest. Sometimes the flashes come on again, and sometimes not. So I've not managed to do my entire leg yet, as the flashes keep stopping.

  2. The bikini attachment does not seem to work at all. I cannot get it to flash, regardless of position I'm in. Is it particularly difficult to get into position, or is there a knack to it? I have been using the leg attachment on my bikini area but the flashes have now stopped after only 4 flashes, and I'm letting the machine rest before starting again.

    Any advice welcome x

Mine used to work until the charge/battery ran out. I could usually do more than a whole leg.
It was pretty easy to get a contact with both attachments so I would say yours isn't looking like it's 100% working properly.

Also OP do you know that when you get a new one to charge it regularly. I do not own one but I read in here about the battery needing to be charged frequently. Hopefully someone else can advise better than me!
