Where to look for occasion-y trouser suit

I'm at a family wedding in May. I'm thinking I might wear a trouser suit instead of a dress. Where's good to get a nice (but not work-y) looking suit from? I'm late 30s and v short, size 10-12. Thanks for any shopping tips!

Banana Republic has some in suits in lovely colours.

Thanks Celeriac - I'll take a look. Anyone else?
Also.... jumpsuits?!? Opinions? Could a jumpsuit be a wedding outfit?

It may not be occasion-y enough as they only have it in beige (aka 'camel') but I've been eyeing up the Baukjen Westbury blazer and matching cigarette trousers

They don't show them as a suit but the blurb talks about wearing them together.

They usually have an offer floating around somewhere.

Yes, I think a jumpsuit is fine as a wedding outfit. (I've just never found one that didn't double the size of my arse.)

Thanks Floisme, they are nice.

Yeah I've never actually tried on a jumpsuit and suspect you need to be tall and willowy really, they might look ridiculous on me!

I think jumpsuits are fine as wedding outfits and probably much easier to find than a nice trouser suit that either doesn't look too work-suit or too mother of the bride-esque. I've been at 2 weddings where a guest at each has worn a jumpsuit and I admired their outfits from afar. One was a wide-leg short cullote style jumpsuit and she looked lovely in it.

I think in theory they should work if you're short (I'm 5'3) as the shape ought to streamline you. But I've found that in practice, it's very hard to find one that fits properly all over. And then there's the rear view Sad

That's just me and I've seen other women look great in them. But I do find that with separates, I instantly double my chance of finding a good fit.
