Seeking midi length dress for stylish European destination wedding.

Hi. I'm not the most stylish dresser but would love to look and feel nice at this European wedding. I'm quite tall and a size 16 pear. Budget £50 max. Can anyone please link to a few things that are fashionable so I don't look like a frump? Must be midi length. Thanks in advance.

What about this one? Same price but a bit more colour (presuming the destination will be sunny)

Thank you! That's very pretty and looks like it would be flattering!

Or this? What's your style usually? Do you have a preference for A Line or otherwise?

Yes the lavender is good shape. Equally the gold has good draping and would look amazing in the sunshine.

Ooh the gold is very stylish! I have no style! Probably very dull like Kate bloody Middleton! I want to be glam though!

Wish I could try them on first.

Could you order a few and do free returns? A destination wedding is a great excuse to bring out the colour and style, go for it! You'll get tonnes of compliments!

Warehouse have a lovely range of midi dresses? Or you could try Coast.

I'm a tall pear too (5ft 10, s14), and will only wear midi or maxi dresses, unless there are thick black tights involved, so am following with interest!

Hi. I couldn't find anything in Warehouse. Coast too expensive. Actually found a nice one in Monsoon of all places but too much £££. There's loads of sales on, does that mean there's news stuff on the way?

There'll be heaps of new stuff coming out as wedding season heats up. The Monsoon one could go into sale. Post a pic!

What time of year are you going? If it's the height of summer you could be looking at high 30 degrees, in which case, I'd look for floaty or cotton, not polyester.
Not the navy Dot P one, it's not very weddingy , that gold one is not going to be easy to wear, you can't wear a bra and you may have to tape it in place, which may not stay if you are sweating.
How big are you up top? Can you go braless?

That gold one is way too low cut in my opinion

This is nice, it's white but there is enough colour to not look like a bride of any description. Would look flattering on a pear shape. Easy to match up with a bag and shoes etc

Ok. It's a May wedding. Should be 25 max. I'm a 36d. I'm coming up a 14 in some dresses now. I think if you're thin there's lots of bodycon dresses, but not much for bigger sizes. I'm quite worried!!

What are your thoughts on the off the shoulder thing that very in at the moment?

This would be flattering on you I think. Would need a bra that works with it.

Just this one. Don't love it though, but it would do the job.

Thanks fruit. Love the wiggle dress but suspect my massive arse and thighs would not fit in.

Not sure about the cold shoulder one! Appreciate the links though.

Love this! Is it wrong? Seems a lot of material.

That monsoon link isnt working.
Yeah, I'm probably not going to buy any off the shoulder jobs either,.

And regarding your 'massive arse' , it will fit in the dress if you get the right size. You've got some time to buy a bunch of different dresses and see what they are like on.
