Not sure about the sleeveless black dress for a formal occasion- but still a lovely dress. But the silver evening one - wow. Stunning.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe Fri 17-Mar-17 22:17:39

Not sure about it. The embroidery looks a bit cheap, maybe because it looks so satiny.

catinbooots Fri 17-Mar-17 22:25:23

Looks like one of them Chinese wedding dresses off eBay

wobblywonderwoman Fri 17-Mar-17 22:26:32

I loved the black dress but not the evening one as much

Glossolalia Fri 17-Mar-17 22:27:38

I think she has such a lovely figure everything seems to suit her envy

Whatthefoxgoingon Fri 17-Mar-17 22:54:30

Good grief. Mother of the bride dress gone wrong!

Pallisers Fri 17-Mar-17 23:00:04

loved the black dress - finally she looked like she was dressing her age. and finally wore a nice pair of shoes.

Glossolalia Fri 17-Mar-17 23:15:09

I hate the black dress. It's an odd length

Bibs2014 Fri 17-Mar-17 23:54:13

I hate this dress, it's like something Camilla would wear. The colour is so aging. And I usually love Kate.

I like the black one but this one just made me think, "Let it Go, Let it Go..." - maybe she's freezing him out after his holiday?! wink

KP86 Sat 18-Mar-17 07:21:12

I liked the black one, she finally had an illusion of curves smile

This one is nice too, but so severe looking.

ihatethecold Sat 18-Mar-17 07:31:18

Is there a link to the black one?

OhtoblazeswithElvira Sat 18-Mar-17 07:35:30

She looks lovely in anything but the silver dress is tacky I think. I haven't seen the black one.

WipsGlitter Sat 18-Mar-17 07:36:16

The black one.

MrsMozart Sat 18-Mar-17 07:55:34

I like both.

Believeitornot Sat 18-Mar-17 07:57:06

All I could think is "nice toned arms" grin

LaCerbiatta Sat 18-Mar-17 07:59:35

She could wear anything, she's got the figure and the money, and she always looks so old and frumpy sad
That 50s coat with the flippy skirt.... she looks like a hair hostess from 40 years ago....

Truckingalong Sat 18-Mar-17 08:03:05

I have arm envy!!

Black one is a weird length and the ankle strap shoes look cheap.

The pale dress is awful. 4 grands worth of tacky eBay flammable cruise ship tat.

nothruroad Sat 18-Mar-17 08:04:00

I love the silver evening one, think she looks beautiful in it.

LittleIda Sat 18-Mar-17 08:06:12

I think she looks lovely in both dresses

SinglePringle Sat 18-Mar-17 08:07:19

The silver one is aging in her and I agree it looks cheap.

I love the McQueen dress. Finally she wears something vaguely fashionable! Gorgeous length on her and looks absolutely fab. Apart from the accessories. Not a fan of the jewels (but love the shoes too).

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe Sat 18-Mar-17 09:02:33

Not sure about the necklace she was wearing with the black dress. it was really out of keeping with the little frayed bits on the dress, it didn't go with it at all I thought.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe Sat 18-Mar-17 09:03:42

Great arms though.

aniceearlynight Sat 18-Mar-17 11:25:49

boy oh boy does she need a stylist!
Black dress - length was wrong, needed to be below knee. Costume jewellery Balenciaga pearls looked like they came from Debenhams and wearing the full set far too matchy matchy. Just think of the vaults of fabulous jewels she has to choose from and she picks those 🙄
Blue Jenny Packham looks so boring and bog standard and yes, cheap but to be fair I think it looked shinier in the pics than in real life as the flash photography bounced off the satin underslip.
British ambassador's wife looked terrifically chic at both events so I'm giving her a 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

WipsGlitter Sat 18-Mar-17 12:07:37

Oh yes, ambassador's wife's evening dress was fab. Very chic. I think Kate need to cut her hair I think it adds to the frumpy look.
