Naked Palette, or something else?

So I'm an eyeshadow fiend, but usually buy cheap brands. At Christmas I got the Urban Decay Moondust palette as a gift and I love it. Super sparkly, pigmented and thanks to a friend telling me about using an eyeshadow primer, or wet brush, it stays put.

I've got Naked dupes but they're not very pigmented and don't last long on my eyes, so I was thinking of taking the plunge, and getting the Naked 1 (I have blue eyes so think the colours would suit me)

Worth it? Or are there some other palettes that I should look at, that are a bit more high end, for a nice every day look?

Really depends on the look you like, I went to a launch night for the matte Naked Palette to see the experts at work and ended buying it AND the Moondust Palette Blush. The highly pigmented Matt colours are great for lasting all day and be lifted by using your lovely shimmering colours from the palette you have. Though I do love the Smokey too. I have them all except the pinky one which is too close to inflamed lids for me.

I used the MUR dupe for ages, and always thought it was good, then bought the UD one at Xmas, and realised there was no comparison, I love it. But having said that, I also love PUR mattes, and the TooFaced chocolate box.

Oh, and I love the MAC cool tone 15 palette. Since I got my eyes lasered, everyone is buying me eyeshadows for presents! It's a bit like when you first pierce your ears, everyone gives you earrings initially.

If you have blue eyes I would personally go for naked 3 (for a day to day look) & for naked 1 for occasion make-up! (Former UD make-up artist here lol)

Ssssh I don't need encouraging to get two! Grin

In all seriousness though, next time I'm in town I'll go and have another look, I like the colours in 3 but do they work on pale skin? Yes, I'm that customer haha Grin

I also like the look of the smoky one... see why I need no encouragement?? :)

I have 1, 2 and 3 and use 2 the most. Blue eyes and pale skin here!

I have 3 and am very pale and use it every day. Also have smokey. The quality is really great.

I've had Naked one for nearly six years! Granted I don't wear eyeshadow during the day, but I still haven't hit any pans. The stuff is so pigmented that a little goes a long way! Definitely worth it, the colours in all the palettes are so wearable!

I prefer the Morphe palettes. Better pigment. 😊

Agree with Teal they do last an age. I do use eye shadow everyday, and naked 1 is my go to pallette and is still going strong after 5 years. I have pale skin and grey eyes and rate 3 and the basics pallette too (this might not be what it's called, but the one with the 6 Matt shades)

I've narrowed it down to the original or the Naked 3, I've got a dupe for 2 and I don't use a lot of the colours.

Just need to go into town and have a close up look at them. I want to do nice wearable looks in the daytime but want some options for evenings as well.

Can you use them wet, I love how my Moondust shadows look when applied wet.

Also loving the new stuff they've just launched. Maybe we need a UD appreciation thread haha Grin

Naked 3 is gorgeous. I love all the pinky colours.

Smashbox have some great palettes out at the moment - they're smaller which for me is great as day to day I need less choice! The Golden Hour one (I think) looks warm and shimmery like the Nakeds. I actually find they last better on me as I've run out of primer. I want it Grin

The Too Faced choc bar is far better than the naked pallette. I have them both and the pigmentation in the too faced one is far better and colours last much longer.

I went to an Urban Decay counter last week as I'd been looking at the naked 2 palette online. I ended up leaving to think about it. I was pretty underwhelmed and didn't think they were overly pigmented (especially for the pricepoint) at all. Xx

I think they are excellent - I don't wear any other eyeshadow anymore. I have Naked 1 and 3, and Basics 2.

This thread has reminded me that a) I get paid on Thursday and it's BONUS TIME! And b) that there's a whole Urban Decay SHOP in town now.

I have Naked and I don't wear makeup more than a few times a week tops (sometimes a lot less) but it's helped ease me into wearing it more often like I want to because it's so easy to wear, it's so natural looking so also easy to apply (which is a big barrier to me wearing makeup as my coordination is terrible due to Asperger's Syndrome). I love it. A few of the lightest colours I was using all the time I've mostly ran out of, haven't really used the darker ones, not brave enough yet. I have pale olive skin and light brown eyes with dark brown hair though so very different from you and I wear big black thick rimmed glasses.
