Biggest beauty regret?

What's your biggest beauty regret -- service you had done or worst makeup product you tried?

Mine are lash extensions which left my natural lashes short and stubby. Had nice long thick natural lashes before I got the lash extensions and now they are nothing like what they once were. :'( Don't get me wrong, the lash extensions looked lovely for a couple weeks but then when they start to shed it's bad. I was a guest a wedding during the second week and a friend I hadn't seen in a while said one of my lashes was coming off while we were standing there having a chat -- embarrassing! :P

Hourglass foundation was horrible on me. I wore it and my skin looked dry and like I never exfoliate!

Agree with lash extensions. Left me with a noticeable gap in the middle of one! Nearly a year later and it's still there though not as bad

My skin. Its just generally shit, spotty chin and super dry every where else. Nothing seems to work.

Agree with lash extensions and over plucking!

That time I tried to be a redhead. Thank God there are no photos of that month of madness. I looked like I was wearing the wrong wig.

Eyebrows for sure. In the 80s I plucked them to within an inch of their lives. The fashion was for the angular brow with a thin end.
Then the weirdy 'comma' shape.

My brows sigh at me (as I weep at them) and declare You didn't want us when you were twenty, we CBA now

Shaving my legs. They were never particularly hairy until I started to do this :(
Taking more care of my neck. Its crepy now and its my worst feature.

Not looking after my skin properly! Only 29 with awful eye bags/wrinkles/dark circles, large open pores and forehead wrinkles like nothing you've ever seen before. Although I do put it down to genetics tbh; I don't smoke or drink, eat well, drink green tea, exercise etc Sad

Deciding to try all these different potions on my skin. It was fine with superdrug face wipes and sensitive moisturuser but adding in supposedly fabulous (expensive) crap has made my face bumpy, itchy and far from fine.

I'm currently sporting a dodgy tan. I used a booth but the man gave me instructions which were different to what the booth was telling me. The result: doubly dark left side, hardly tanned right. Thank god it's only March...

Having a mole removed. I'm now left with a large scar.
I've had more moles removed since, but I paid a lot privately to make sure I didn't get more big scars

Micro derm, I know some people rate it but it ruined my skin. I would go into detail but it might trigger the trypophobes and no I'm not joking.

Have you ever tried castor oil for your brows to make them grow back? I've heard that's supposed to help.

YouWereRight I get spots on my chin if I put anything on it other than cleanser. I just stopped applying lotion there or anything. Any other skin care will break me out. Spotty chin is usually hormones.

Maud, omg I had to google that. I have never heard of trypophobia til now! Omg.

Ditto on eyelash extensions, they looked great the first time then after going for infills, the in-between stage looked horrible and it took months firing eyelashes to recover. I've straight, average length eyelashes and obviously haven't learnt my lesson as I've only gone and tried perming them.

Elephant. Same. Not a clue what it was until I saw it online, now I'm uneasy even typing it.

Eyebrows here too, over plucked when I was younger and now need to fill them in with a brow kit.. They don't actually grow, which my daughter finds bemusing.

I also once bought some Laura mercier face glow stuff, can't remember the name of the product, it said swirl it all over your face for a healthy glow. Total bastards were having a laugh. I looked fine in the house, but realised in bright sunshine I looked like I'd dipped my face in a box of metallic paint and glitter. 😔😔😔😔

soeasybreezy, did you get the LVL perm? I've wondered about that one. Sometimes the before and afters look good but other times it has a deer in the headlights affect like their eyes are WIDE open. lol
Also makes me wonder about having that perming solution so close to my eyeball! eek.

Maud, me too! I definitely have that. Guess it's human nature to not like holes. I doubt your skin is like that though. Maybe you just need to baby it and choose a good gentle exfoliant like a liquid BHA. Does wonders for me and I have sensitive skin. x

I have the Laura Mercier matte radiance highlighter and like it a lot but only put it on parts I want highlighted. Wouldn't dream of putting it everywhere.

Peroxide blonde hair. I had to have a day off work so I could go back to the salon to have it fixed.

A salon St Tropez tan that made my legs go green. Another one that wasn't applied properly and I had to go to a wedding looking like I'd been ronsealed - badly.

A horrendously short pixie crop that I inexplicably had dyed orange. I looked like a fat match.

Grin MumBod I shouldn't laugh but the fat match comment is making me snort.
Elephant no my skins not that bad really but there are two teeny weeny holes on one side of my face and I've blamed the heavy handed beautician, as you do Hmm

Omg MumBod I had to go to my brother's wedding with a horrible sun burn. I made the stupid mistake of going in one of those standup sunbeds before. I still cringe thinking about this. Shuddering at the thought. I was beet red. rofl

Lol @ Fat match

Maud try a liquid bha and a good moisturizer. Some people can't handle microderm because of sensitive skin.
