Not my style, on me they would look frumpy.

However if someone wants to wear them, then fuck what anyone else thinks.

I think lots of the printed stuff is. I've had a couple of nice hoodies and tshirts from there, and their cropped trousers were quite good last year.

I like a lot of Mantaray stuff. I also love Fat Face, White Stuff, H+M, Gap, Tu, Animal, Monsoon and New Look.

I don't think I am frumpy Grin!

I wore them when pregnant and kept some of the tops. Having got them out recently I must admit they do look a bit frumpy. Ive put them in the charity shop pile. Blush

They should be great, but the shape is usually just a bit out. Same with FatFace.

Some of it is in my opinion ( I'm 60 if that helps you decide!)
I have got a couple of the brighter printed sundresses. I personally think some of their drab colours are what screams frumpy to me.

Their summer collections seem nice but agree some of their clothes are frumpy.

Yes

The styling is just not quite right

they fit my shape really well. I dont think im particularly frumpy. I like their summer dresses

It's not the colours for me. I quite like sludgy colours.

It's the bright blue and red colours that are waaaay off and the shaping is too boxy

The cardigans are fine. The bags are fine.

Yes. Sorry. I'm 42 and look weird when I've tried their stuff on.

No, I don't think so.

I have a few of their tops and I'm not frumpy shit maybe I am

MaisyPops · 12/03/2017 21:57

Yes.

I find theyre like a bigger, wider, less flattering version of fat face.

Lots of the tops have weird necklines that are neither high neck or v/scoop just soke random level below my collar bone.

Yes. I always think it's a poor man's fat face in there. (But not cheap and for women.)

File it with sea salt for 20 years time.

Just had a look online. And yes... pretty frumpy... Why are you asking?

Report
polyhymnia · 13/03/2017 00:39

From what I've seen online I'd say yes. But then not a fan of Fat Face either.

Deathraystare · 13/03/2017 11:14

Well... I am obviously a frump! The clothes fit. I have a few dresses and tops and stuff.

I bought a couple of things there when i was in a bit of a post-baby style rut, but do find them a bit frumpy, especially the more patterned stuff.

When ds was 2, I brought home a dress I was quite pleased with, until he looked in the bag and said 'Oh, new curtains!'.
That said it all, really.

Yes. It's "suburban mum got a Debenhams gift card for Christmas".

I also have a probably irrational and unfair loathing of all things Debenham.

I think it depends on the item, as I loved a mustard cardigan I had that could have been from anywhere, but you can get similar stuff in Falmer at Matalan for about half the price (peasant tops, tunics).
