What to wear with green dress in awkward not hot or cold season?

Bought a green mock wrap dress in the Seasalt sale. It just about sits the right side of matronly but I can't decide what to wear with it at the moment. Can't find a picture to link to, sorry.

I think it would look good with my tan/brown knee high boots but I don't think natural coloured tights look right with boots and I think navy or black tights would be too dark/startling with it. It's like a moss green, not a dark green.

Shall I just wait a bit longer til u can wear it with heels/flats/sandals? I hate spring - I never know what to wear!
