What coat/jacket will you be wearing through spring?

My winter coats are feeling 'wrong' now! Too wintery and a touch too warm. I'm wondering what to buy to see me through until summer. What will you be wearing? Links welcome!

I will be wearing a classic Harris tweed black/white herringbone blazer I bought last year on the understanding it was going to last me a looooong time! Alternatively a mac on wet days.

But it's still pretty cold where I live so am in the padded coat a bit longer ...

I keep trying to transition my coats to spring and failing!
I have a lovely cotton trench coat, a sued jacket and a knitted chanel-style jacket from zara that I really want to start wearing but I still feel too cold - it's the wind really, cuts like a knife.

I will be happy just to retire my woolly hat;)

Beige cotton trench coat from h and m. Loving the lighter clothing to match the lighter days.

I think a casual trench would work for my style (casual/school run/trainers) but have yet to find one I like sad

This on payday.

Love that!

Anyone seen any lightweight mid thigh parkas or similar for very casual days?

RedMetamorphosis Fri 10-Mar-17 15:09:13

Quite like the embroidery on this - very on trend. Lots more on ASOS if you search parka.

Also love this from Zara but more trenchy or this for slightly more classic parka.

Black leather biker jacket with a scarf then without a scarf when it gets warmer then change to a jersey blazer when it gets warmer than that.

I think I might try this. It looks much nicer in person.

Another Harris tweed jacket wearer here smile Also have a knee length leather coat and a 60s swing coat - love them all so can't wait.

Leather biker, long dark green duster, and a new mid-calf length beige trench. Dark blue denim jacket when it really picks up. It's still wool coat temps here though!

Where's your trench from Judy?

Trench coat (Burberry)
Olive green army jacket (Topshop)
Leather biker (Whistles)
Baaaaaa smile

Oh thanks Trustyourself I love a bit of Savida.

I have a black Topshop faux leather biker that I hauled out yesterday and it's definitely warm enough. It has no top collar which not only makes it more feminine but means you can use a really bulky scarf with comfort.

I also wear my Barbour a lot in this weather. Is that very uncool? blush

Wenchelda Sat 11-Mar-17 15:59:17

Trustyourself I like the look of the denim trench ... do you know what the sizing is like?

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie Sat 11-Mar-17 16:21:19

I've got cotton parkas, black one and khaki one, but tend to ignore in favour of leather jackets. Denim jacket once it gets warmer.

ElspethFlashman Sat 11-Mar-17 16:40:12

Wenchela Dunnes sizing tends to be true to size/generous.

ElspethFlashman Sat 11-Mar-17 16:40:54

(Though now I've said that, this could be the coat that breaks the rule - yikes!)
