Hair and extreme humidity - what's the answer?

What are the best answers for trying to keep hair manageable in extreme humidity?

I am off to Hong Kong soon. Last time I went there, my hair went absolutely wild. My hair frizzes in humidity (I am used to that), but in HK it was on a whole other level...

I normally wash my hair (not every day), double shampoo, double conditioner. At the fair dressers they use "Bond pro" with my colour. After washing I comb through frizzeaze and then TGI smoothing lusteriser. I then use the Babysliss Big Hair to dry my hair and run the straighteners through to finish (although I don't go dead straight, just sleek with a bit of wave/shape). In the U.K., this works. In HK, I will do all of this, walk from the front door to the car and have an Afro. I think that I spent virtually all of the last trip with my hair tied back and secured with a bulldog clip...
