If you've had a bra fitted at this branch were you happy with the fitting?
My local specialist lingerie shop closed a few years ago unfortunately and I definitely need fitting. Heard horror stories about M&S so will try JL if any good.
Do I need to make an appointment? I'll be driving quite a distance to get there.

It's fine and you don't need an appointment. However there are two other specialists bra shops nearby also one in bramhall and one in cheadle if you would prefer a bigger range

Recent experience was good, although they don't have the ranges for big norks that Bravissimo does. I left with two bras, good shape but very firm in the band - fine in the morning, not so comfy by hometime.

Why do you need a bra fitting? Just do it yourself. Take in a few and see which is the best fit. People that only ever wear the size a randomer tells them really baffle me. In clothes I can vary from shop to shop, in fact from style to style in the same shop. This is also true of bras. Forget the label and go for the fit

Thanks User and Cleopatra, I'm going next week. I don't need the big nork range, sadly Grin.

It's been a couple of years since my last fitting.
I find it the most effective way to find the right bra for me, ie one that is comfortable and makes the most of my shape. I've got a drawer full of badly fitting bras that I chose myself, so I'm more than happy to have a 'randomer' fit me and user her training to recommend bras that are good for my particular shape.

Yes, it's good there. Would recommend.

Weirdly enough that store is the only place I have ever had a bra fitting. It was for a bra for my wedding which was 3 days away. Grin. I had a woman called Pat who was aces and very concerned about my last minuteness. She was so kind and helpful dh and I took her a piece of wedding cake a week later. Well, dh skulked at the periphery of Lingerie while I did. Highly recommend!

Yep, only ever had positive experiences there, both for me and for DD's first bras.

I was wondering if they did fittings at JL Cheadle a few weeks ago and never got around to checking. Sorry to ask on your thread, but I've never had a bra fitting before! What's the procedure? Do I have to take my top off or do they measure over what you're wearing? Hope you don't mind me hijacking a littleSmile
