Argh cellulite

I'm not overweight but my cellulite is totally out of control on my thighs and bum.

We are going on hols in a month and I am so depressed about the thought of getting into a bikini. I know you're probably thinking it's not that bad but honestly it is, I've never seen another person with it worse.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to improve it in a month? I'm desperate, I'll try anything.

Drink lots of water, walk as much as you can and massage with body lotion every day, a spray tan might help as well

I don't know how much of a difference it will make in a month but spinning a couple of times a week really sorts mine out on my bum and legs. Used to spend a fortune on lotions and potions but exercise is unfortunately the only thing that improves it for me.

Dry body brushing every day.

Ok will def try extra water, moisturiser and body brushing.

I'm not a gym member so unlikely to get to a spinning class, but could do some running if that's likely to help a bit? I'm sure it never seems to have that much of an effect on cellulite though but maybe I'm wrong?

Body brushing works for me.

Octopusrus I'm exactly the same! I'm tall and slim (size 8) and feel like I'm covered in it! I used a soap and glory gel which was in a tube with massage balls on the end. When applied it heated up and felt tingly. I can't remember the name of it but it felt like it did something! I must get myself some more

I think most women have some cellulite and there's not a lot that can be done about it. Exercise and eating sensibly seems to help mine - although I don't think being thinner necessarily means less of it.

Reading this reminded my of a blog post I read ages ago. Managed to find it again Should Girls With Cellulite....

I'd barely describe any of those women in the blog pictures as having cellulite. It's made me feel worse now HmmGrin

wow that blog is so bitchy. who the hell sits and judges whether or not other women should be wearing shorts or not. how vile.

OP I feel your pain, I find increasing the muscle works to diminish cellulite. so squats, lunges, deadlifts. plus a spray tan makes it less obvious. also mine is on my backside, so I dont have to look at it.

Muppet thanks for the rec will see if I can find it. 3 weeks and counting, how many squats can I fit in do you think?!!

Maybe I should concentrate more on weights stuff rather than running?

Running on a treadmill completely got rid of mine post birth, and it got rid of it very quickly too. I usually run for half an hour but I every two minutes I change incline and speed.

Oh dear conflicting views, and I've just done a 5k too!! But have now got Soap and Glory Sit Tight all over my thighs so will be able to report back in a month as to whether that's made a difference!

Do I carry on running or not?! Argh!!

I would say carry on running for your fitness and leg muscle tone, then any cellulite reduction is a bonus. I run every day, I think (purely from my own observations) when it comes to cellulite frequency of an exercise is key.

I find alcohol makes my cellulite worse. If I've had a week on the wine, I can really see it on my thighs and arse!

I find drinking plenty of water helps, avoiding salty and processed food and off course cutting down on or cutting out the booze.

I try to focus on exercises that tones my legs. I hate running, but I will see an improvement if I regularly use the cross trainer and / or cycle.
I know women who swear by squats. I just really hate doing them!

I've been dry brushing my whole body for a couple of weeks now, paying particular attention to my thighs and bum.

I can't say I've noticed much of an improvement in cellulite (not that I have loads but it's there), but my skin is softer for sure.

Not sure anything really gets rid completely. I'd agree with the above solutions of lots of water, healthy diet and trying to cut out junk food/sugar as much as possible.
