Freelancer meeting: what to wear?!

I've been off work for 2 and a half years, was made redundant on mat leave.

I've recently been contacted about doing some freelance work - 2 days a week max. The company want me to come in for a meeting, on Monday. Having agreed, I have no clue what to wear. Hair and make up I can deal with, but I have no clue about what to wear.

I've never been one to wear suits, but have basically worn jeans and a stripy t-shirt for the last 2 and a half years and have just realised I am utterly at a loss.

What sort of company?

My last freelance meeting I wore stripy t-shirt, smart dark blue jeans and a Whistles black blazer.

Do you have any skirts at all?

On the rare occasions I do this I usually go for smart casual. Is it a really formal atmosphere?

It depends on the kind of business.

If it's a law firm, or a big corporate, smart skirt/trousers, smart top and cardigan. If it's something a bit funkier you can be more relaxed. We need more info.

The most important thing is that everything is smart and neat. Shoes polished, clothes ironed. You can be as funky as you like, but you must look put together.

It's working in Social care, training care staff.

Pre-pregnancy the organisation I worked for was getting more and more corporate, but I would nearly always wear a dress, cardi, opaques and flats.

I just have no idea what to wear, I don't even know what fits anymore. I feel like I need to look put together, not like I'm trying to blend in with the wallpaper.
