Flattering summer dress size 16? And other holiday clothes

I'm going on holiday in April, hoping for warm weather. We're only taking hand luggage .. away for 5 days. Any suggestions for a flattering dress that will roll up small?

I'll travel in jeans and Tshirt and jacket, will take tops, a dress, swimsuit, skirt and flip flops. Anything else anyone can suggest would be appreciated. .

I'm size 14/16, apple shape, 34gg bra size . I'll need a swimsuit too ...

I'm a similar shape to you op!

I suit tea dresses and skater dresses.

How about:

Or maybe try Lindybop for cotton dresses. They have a sale on ATM.

There is also a lovely seafolly swimsuit I saw on another thread. It's v expensive but looks lovely. I imagine I'd suit it though can't justify buying it just now sad.

It's a bit tricky as the summer stuff isn't in the shops yet. I got great jersey midis in oasis and warehouse last year.

Oh sorry, just noticed that lovely JL dress only has 8 and 12 in stock.

You could also try eBay. I've had some lovely cotton dresses from there.

Something like this perhaps? It's linen/cotton so would be nice and cool in the heat.

Rockaby Mon 27-Feb-17 09:00:02

This^^ looks a bargain!

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:13:28

Thanks. The wrap dress is a bit shock expensive for me.

Not sure about the JL dress ... I've dark hair and eyes and don't really suit pale colours.

Jersey midi dresses sound good. I'll have a look on ebay.

What about this kind of thing? What sort of price are you looking for?

Semaphorically Mon 27-Feb-17 09:21:46

Something like this?

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:22:29

Not keen on that sorry .. I think I'd look like a sack of potatoes.

I'm on a low budget unfortunately due to booking holiday.

Semaphorically Mon 27-Feb-17 09:24:05

Can you post some pics of things you like and tell us your actual budget (your low budget isn't the same as someone else's)? Otherwise it's very hard to help you find something.

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:25:48

I guess my budget is about £20.

I'll look for some I like.

This is quite nice.

And this

And this

Rockaby Mon 27-Feb-17 09:33:15

Did you see the Joules one I linked to op?

justaweeone Mon 27-Feb-17 09:35:04

I'm planning on ordering some of these

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:38:13

Avebury that's nice but not in my size in a colour I like.

I have a New Look jersey dress, sleeveless with square scoop neck, quite fitted, knee length that I really like but it's a little tight.

Pinkkahori Mon 27-Feb-17 09:39:46

The Next dress looks lovely justaweeone. Very similar to one I have from H&M. I'm an 18 and its a very flattering style on.

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:40:40

Rockaby the Joules one was ok, maybe a bit shapeless .. I like to show some curves but too clingy shows the spare tyre! I know, I'm asking a lot blush

Justawe I quite like that.

Rockaby Mon 27-Feb-17 09:49:16

Not at all lucy! Just making sure you'd seen it as I thought was such a bargain.

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:53:16

The New Look dress I have is a bit like at this on eBay ink{ this} or at this on eBay ink{ this} or at this on eBay ink{ this}

Lucysdiamonds Mon 27-Feb-17 09:57:08

The neckline suits me .. quite low and a square sort of scoop. Just can't find a colour I like .. prefer navy or teal or grey .. patterned maybe but not flowers ...

Lucked Mon 27-Feb-17 10:35:33

Not sure the fitted waist will suit an apple bu £25 warehous

m&s potentially more flattering.

justaweeone Mon 27-Feb-17 11:28:22

Any of these?

slug Mon 27-Feb-17 11:55:50

I found this swimsuit to be a bit of a revelation. I'm a swimmer so I'm not hugely fussed about how I look in a swimsuit, even though I'm a 16-18 apple, but DD convinced me to give this a try.
