Where to shop now I'm over 40

I'm hoping to get some ideas of where I can get some stylish clothes that will make me look professional now I'm 41. I don't have to get dressed up for work very often, but the clothes I do have are from before DD was born, she's now 9! and I don't think they suit me anymore. Please could you suggest some ideas, other than Boden!

I'm 39, I shop everywhere, generally look in Whistles, Reiss, Topshop, Netaporter- rarely buy there though, sale only! I'm a huge fan of Cos lately, &otherstories, H&M, Esprit, Hush, Asos, M & S.

For work I also look in Hobbs and Jaeger, including outlets.

I'm 45 and tend to shop at Hush, White Company, Joules, M&S, Mint Velvet, occasionally Fat face - I like Next 360 jeans or Levi.
I was in town today and the clothes I bought were White Company, a couple of jersey shirts, knitted jumper and a smart casual navy ponte dress!

Just to say I've never worn shirts as never felt they suited me, but was really pleased with how the ones I bought looked, fab with jeans but also could be dressed up. I got navy and a pale pink.

I suppose it depends on budget, but I'm mid-30s and I think Hobbs / Jaeger / Reiss are worn by women of all ages in my industry. I'm short and hourglass, so Hobbs works for me.

Not the most exciting clothes perhaps, but decent quality, well cut and tend to have nice seasonal colours departing from the black / grey / pinstripe defaults.

Mini-hijack NearlyADoctor, tell me about the jersey shirts please? I've been looking at them, because I hate the un-ironable creases in most cotton/linen shirts and I feel I look like a sack of taters!

I shop in Boden (not the Maria-Von-Trapp's-been-at-the-curtains-again patterns, but for work trousers (RIchmond) etc) WC, M &S (oft derided but their slim bootcut jeans are the bollocks) Gap when there is a mega offer on (ie always) for knitwear. Matalan and George (don't mock, their knitwear is fab!) Next's quality over the years has plummeted, whenever I see badly dressed characters in TV shows, I always assume they have been to Next. Joules and Seasalt for the good old Bretons. (not Boden, theirs are shite)

I look in Jigsaw, Hobbs, Ted Baker (for going out tops), mint velvet, phase-eight (can be hit and miss but worth a look definitely).
I have loads of clothes now, even after a massive marie kondo style clear out so I tend to only buy something if it's really flattering and not similar to something I already have so although I have no money really I buy expensive clothes

I also look in Massimo Dutti and have got some more classic versions of high street trends in there. Eg, a peasant top that I'm still wearing seasons after 'peasant' has been and gone because it was so simple, just a 'tiny bit peasant' and it was in such a beautiful shade of bottle green that is flattering to my colouring.
