Ooh I love her hair and makeup. But the dress is a no from me. I think it might've looked better cocktail length. The skirt just makes it a bit too much. Love her though!

My eyes!

CaroleService · 18/02/2017 21:12

Christmas wrapping paper?

HeyRoly · 18/02/2017 21:14

Jesus!

Summer23 · 18/02/2017 21:15

Agree with rah hair and make up great but the dress is a no!

AverysillyoldHector · 18/02/2017 21:17

My late grandma was a seamstress. She used to have bags of scrap material going back to the 60s - the dress makes me think of that bag Grin

DJKKSlider · 18/02/2017 21:18

Ahhh so that's what happens to old sofas when they get chucked away.

Grin

NoCapes · 18/02/2017 21:18

Ooo that lipstick really ages her

And that dress is ... Well it's definitely a look!

BakeOffBiscuits · 18/02/2017 21:19

No, just no it's bloody awful.

WipsGlitter · 18/02/2017 21:20

I really like her, but I think she tends to go for pieces that wear her rather than the other way round. I think to carry off quirky you really need to own it.

She insta-Ed her options for this event and it looked like there were better choices for her.

Don't like the hair - taily at the ends.

Sorry. Think she's really talented at her job but she's no style icon imho.

NotTodaySatan · 18/02/2017 21:21

She looks a complete fucking mess.

Shame as I quite like her but bloody hellfire, no.

tribpot · 18/02/2017 21:28

I think people who wear outfits they can tell are pretty 'out there' to such events are quite brave. I know that I would play it utterly safe - partly because I don't care and partly because I couldn't be arsed dealing with the ludicrous Twitter memes when you have your leg sticking out in a funny way (Angelina).

So, kudos to her for giving it a bash, but I think the dress is dreadful.

lozengeoflove · 18/02/2017 21:30

Good god Edith. It all went tits up.

OddShoe · 18/02/2017 21:34

Oh jeez, no!

The dress, the hair and the make up are all wrong together. A high neckline doesn't suit hair hanging down over it.

NoBiggie · 18/02/2017 21:36

She isn't looking great at the moment I don't know if it's he hair or lipstick but she's aged a lot and the dress is very unflattering.

Tessticklesyourfancy · 18/02/2017 22:04

Did someone pinch her mirror?

SequinsOnEverything · 18/02/2017 22:51

Who can even see the hair and make-up when that dress is screaming in your face? I actually recoiled in shock.

Iamtheresurrection · 19/02/2017 00:05

The whole thing is horrible - hair, make up, dress.

She looks really old.

elephantoverthehill · 19/02/2017 00:15

Individually they are all potentially quite 'wow' fabrics. So why try and wear them altogether? It kind of reminds me of children in PizzaHut with the ice cream and sweets machine and they don't know when to stop.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 19/02/2017 00:29

After that assault on my eyes I took a look at the other BAFTA dresses on that link - my oh my Edith wasn't the only one wearing a monstrosity. What is going on?

cansu · 19/02/2017 08:41

God just looked at some of the others. How can there be so many hideous expensive dresses? Honestly I cannot believe they have actually been told by someone that these are attractive.

user1471545174 · 19/02/2017 09:08

It's monstrous.

The link revealed her photo quite slowly ..I was about to agree with you until mid way down. I think the shape and length are crap although I like the idea.

Hatemylifenow · 19/02/2017 10:38

That's truly hideous

ReturnofSaturn · 19/02/2017 10:42

That dress is rank.
