Supportive underwear for posh dress

I have bought a posh dress for my sister's wedding. It is tight around my tummy and with a 3 and 1 year old, I am not very happy with my extra podge around my belly. Although I am back to my normal size and weight I don't think my stomach will ever recover!

I haven't worn supportive, tummy flattening underwear before but would like to get some. What is best? Pants? A body type thing? Any brand or product recommendations? I am a size. 10, average height.

I wear a good bra and seam less underwear but I put on a control slip dress over it to smooth everything out.. I bought 1 from marks and spencer..

That sounds good and like it would prevent any rolls at the top!

Seconding the control slip! Mine's from Next. You wear your own bra and knickers with it and it gives a nice, smooth line without cutting off your circulation like Spanx et al do!

I swear by the 'wear your own bra' control slips from M&S. They smooth everything but your bust out, no funny lines, don't roll up/down, and no issues about going to the loo!

My favourite is the 'wear your own bra' firm control slip from next as you can just pull it up to go to the toilet instead of wrestling to get Spanx knickers off every time. It is difficult to get on in the first place but I've never found one that isn't!

Thanks everyone, looks like the slip is the way forward!
