A good mascara

Has anyone got the magic product I need?
Here's my criteria:
-Doesn't clump lashes
-Doesn't leave black dots under your eye when you go out in the drizzle
-comes off easily with an oil-free remover- the only one I have ever used that doesn't sting my eyes is Body Shop Camomile but I'm up for suggestions.

I use No. 7 in the gold tube. It wont shift all day. The only way to get it off is with a damp warm cloth, you dont use any make up remover with it.

Lancôme hypnose. I keep going back to it!

That's sounds amazing. I hate putting stingy remover on my eyes. Might try that one. Does it have a name or is there just one that No7 do in gold?

How much is the Lancôme one?

The gold soap and glory one is amazing. Doesn't shift all day and I use the Body Shop camomile balm to remove it with no problems at all.

the No 7 one is called Stay Perfect

L'Oréal - silver tube (false lashes) - telescopic, cheap but amazing. It does make your lashes really long,

A good mascara

I use Liz Earle, which is fab and is the only one I've found which doesn't leave marks on my eyelids from the upper lashes touching my skin, and flakes /smudges from my lower lashes under my eyes. However, once I've finished my current tube I am going to try Lancôme Hypnos as it gets mentioned on here lots. I've recently tried Benefit They're Real and a No7 freebie - both were shocking and reminded me after years of fab mascara from Liz Earle just how bad a 'bad mascara' can be! HTH

Another vote for soap and glory, gold tube, best mascara I've had in years !

Soap & Glory ( gold tube) this was my go to. However Clinique Flutter To Full Mascara is the best. Doesn't clump, smudge nor take any time to remove.

It's £23 I think so I try and buy when offers on.
But it last for ages - I've never had them go dry and clunky before they run out.
I have another one which I wear for swimming but can't remember what make - I don't wear it otherwise as impossible to get off!

Lancôme hypnose is the best I've tried. I'm using a channel one ATM which is ok but I'll be going back to Lancôme.

Bobbie Brown Eye Opening Mascara. Fab stuff.

Shiseido full lash volume. It is amazing and doesn't flake or smear (until the tube gets old, when it will get a tiny bit flaky). It comes off with warm water (not cold, so won't fall off in the rain) so no stinging eyes.

And if you don't want to spend a fortune try Wilko.

No, honestly. My sister wore it to the mac counter a few weeks back (she's an MUA anyway, getting supplies) & the girls behithe counter couldn't believe it was a £3 mascara.

I have the big lashes one and it doesn't flake, or clump, stays put and comes off easily with an eye make up remover.

Well impressed!

I agree, Wilko mascara, nail varnish, eye brow set, and twist up eye pencils are fantastic.

Too Faced Better Than Sex. It's amazing. I got one from Glossybox. It makes your lashes look fatter and fanned out.

Lancome hypnose Mascara is the best for me
Simple eye makeup remover is another go to product.

Tubing mascara by Blinc. Completely smudgeproof but comes off water alone.

Bobbi Brown Smoky Eye is the best.

All of the Bobbi ones are good though. The formula is great but it also makes your lashes feel soft, not crunchy like almost all other mascaras do. I prefer the Smoky Eye one as the brush is smaller (very "classic mascara wand") than the brush on the Eye Opening one.

Ooh yeah Too Faced better than sex is fantastic! I also got one in my beauty box. I'm buying full size when this one runs out. I always get compliments when wearing it.

Another vote for Boots one in the gold tube. It has a really small wand as well, which is why I like it as it gives you more precision than bigger types. Plus all the things you mention.

Report
Rathkelter · 06/03/2017 16:23

Thanks all. I went for Soap & Glory. So far so good but I don't think the wand is amazing, not much better than the Max Factor one I had. Might try Lancôme Hypnose next. Out of interest, what remover are you all using that doesn't irritate eyes?
